    This will be my second Panasonic Blu Ray, same model, with the same results. First one swallowed my rented DVD. Since opening unit would void warrantee, I had to beg the Blu Ray movie rental company to consider the circumstances. Fortunately, they did. Replacement Blue Ray player lasted for 6 months. Now, the machine makes loud grinding noises which wakes our dogs in another room/ another floor. The ethernet internet access goes in an out, but NONE of my other devices have any problems, including WiFi. Will not buy this model again. Hopefully, my replacement warrantee will allow for a switch.

    I connected it to my Toshiba LCD tv and put on a bluray movie just to check the image and how it worked...then I went for another bluray movie and the panasonic blurayplayer didn´t want to open/close again and you can start to hear a noise inside....

    The vieracast interface isn't the best designed, but other than that, it is an awesome unit for web streaming and blu-ray playing.
