Excellent. Easy install, superb operation; much quieter than the one it replaced.

HDR Blue Rays look fantastic. Upscales standard DVDs to near Blue Ray quality. Decodes HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision. Firmware updates over WiFi. Options on this player are well thought out. You can send video and sound through one HDMI, or split them for separate receiver TV inputs.

I had another brand 4k disc player. I generally only play discs when the kids come home. The old one worked twice, months apart and then quit. The clerk in the store recommended that the model that I had was the best of the ones that they stocked. I laughed, checked reviews on my phone and bought this one. This player has an awesome picture and sound. The dimensional sound is incredible. I haven't tried streaming through this since my tv and dvr also stream. My only complaint is that there aren't more 4k discs to buy...

It's a pretty nice player. Had the old OPPO BDP103 and loved it for it's build quality and features but no 4k. Missed on the BDP203 so settled for this. Stuff on the internet said wait for Dolby Video but got that on first software update... yay! Super easy to install and got my first Dolby Video blue ray... well worth it. Loads reasonably fast and video is great! Plus it has HDR10+ so it's all covered. Not built like the OPPO... very light and plasticy but it's what's inside that counts. Very happy with my purchase. Works well with LG OLED and has the 10 bit video setting to match it which other Panasonic units seem to lack.

Works exactly as advertised. Easy to set up, starts discs playing quickly, and has excellent audio and video quality. Only (very small) criticism would be that it's wider than it really would need to be.

I don't have any other 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray players to compare this to but I think it works great with my Sony TV. I specifically chose this version because it has the display on the front which shows the current runtime of the movie you're watching. I had been using a Panasonic Blu-ray player which was purchased in 2011 with my old TV. I only upgraded to this since I bought a 4k TV and wanted to watch Ultra HD Blu-rays. I like that the remote for this new player looks very similar to my old remote. I wish it was a little cheaper, but that's my only complaint.

I was using a Sony UBP-X800M2 and got fed up with the lockups and firmware failing to fully fix the issue. I looked at the Panasonic UB820 and the UB900. The 900 is supposed to have a better chassis, and it has all of the analog inputs you could want. As I just need HDMI, so the cost of the 900 wasn't worth it and I got the 820. Same processing chips and engine. The 820 is a step up from the Sony. Faster to boot, and hasn't locked up on one movie yet. Setup is easy, and the picture quality is outstanding from DVD to 4K, better than my old Sony. You have more options for picture control over the Sony's and more HDR standards. If you just want a HDMI connected 4K Blu-ray player this is the one to get. It's a solidly built unit and preforms great. If you need or want analog connections, you want to spring for the more expensive 900.

Purchased the DP-UB820 to complete my 4K Ultra HD home theater system. It is a key video source for my 8K projector providing excellent compatibility with Ultra HD Blu-ray disks and multiple video streaming sources. The UB820 also provides the ability to make a multitude of video adjustments to insure the highest quality video image. The video quality out of the box was very good and could be made even better by 'tweaking" the provided adjustments. This "tweaking" might be a little intimidating for some people but it provides the necessary "hooks" for a professional video calibrator if you want to get a near perfect video. I feel the UB820 currently provides the best means for achieving the highest quality video available today.

Was using Xbox series X to play 4k movies. I bought this to simply the controls with my home theater. I was very surprised by the picture and sound improvement

Absolutely the best 4K Blu Ray player on the market. For this price and what it can do its amazing. The best part about this model is the upscaling of older blu rays and DVDs. It basically gives you the best picture you can get with modern 4K discs and older blu rays/dvds.

This 4k player os excellent! It is by far the best mid range player. Its packed full of features and very high quality.

I own this player for 1 year now, still love it, i only wish the remote was nicer and more intuitive

This is a great DVD player. It's insane what these go for these days. Cost the same as my PS5 normally. I was able to get this on a Cyber Monday deal for 350 and then I had 170$ in gift cards so I was ok with buying this. For something this pricy, you'd expect a much better UI. I will say I like having a DVD player that can support large discs without skipping which is something you deal with on some of the other players.

Pretty much go to go right out of the box. I appreciate there is no loud grinding and buzzing sounds when the player boots up a 4K disc. It replaced an older Samsung 4k player and with my Denon Receiver it provides at home cinema bliss!

The tone mapping is well worth the price tag alone. I watched Saving Private Ryan in Dolby Vision 4K and was blown away. Not to mention the lossless audio compared to streaming is leagues ahead. Interface and remote aren't the greatest and can be a bit confusing getting to different settings. Otherwise it's the best value playe for the price.

Excellent first impression. Has met all my expectations for performance and features. Not many products outfitted with RCA Outlets anymore. If you are looking for a unit that seamlessly integrates with a Vintage Amp/Pre-Amp setup, this is a fantastic fit without reaching for the expensive Reference Grade offerings.

Have re-watched over 30 of my favorite 4K movies and everyone has been a nice upgrade over my LG 4k player. Colors are outstanding and operation has been flawless. Added bonus is the U-Tube region hack for blu-rays worked and I'm able to watch my region B videos!

If you are into physical media and want the best of both HDR and Dolby Vision, then this is the 4K Blu-Ray player to have. The best part of this hands down is how it upscales your DVD's and normal Blu-Rays to 4K. However, if you already have a TV that upscales then you won't notice the feature. The only downside is the streaming service so if you do not have a PC/Xbox/PS5 or TV that you can stream on then I would look into another device to stream Netflix and other apps. I still give it a 5/5
