The Panasonic VIERA VT 55 has the best picture quality I have ever seen. Blue ray movies are stunning to watch and at most times I feel the picture is better than the one at my local movie theater. I watch alot of football and the picture flows as well as any CRT TV with no pixialation like I find on my friends 55" LED tv.

I love this TV. I first bought a Samsung LED 6100, that was terrible and returned it. Next i bought a Samsung LED 7000 and it was ok. I returned it and purchased the Panasonic VT50 and i kept this TV. Picture quality on the Panasonic VT50 a plasma is superior to an LED in my opinion.

This is an incredible HDTV. It is hands down the best picture quality for the price. The sound is a tad weak, but that is because it is nice and thin, so it is not a problem. The one piece glass looks great but the two color stand is a bit tacky. Panasonic should have done better on that as well as included some 3d glasses at this price level. No regrets on our purchase. Phenomenal TV.

I've had this tv for over a month now and just over 150 hrs and I swear the picture gets better with age, even without ISF calibration. This Plasma is the best flat panel display at the moment and no LED/LCD can claim that they're better, not even The Almighty Elite, just ask the folks at VE. Finally a worthy successor to the Kuro!

This is hard to review. The picture quality is great, but is it much better than a GT50? The features are nice, but not necessary. Only real complaint is the noises the fan makes from the back of the TV, you can hear them from 10+ feet away. I would strongly consider the GT50 over this model.

Don't worry that this is a plasma TV I knew the rumors about them burning out but Panasonic really stepped it up with the Vt-50 this is by far the best TV I have ever owned. One should expect to pay way more for what you get I chose the VT-50 over Samsung flagship which I think was a E8000 and first off your paying less for a TV that looks better just try it for yourself. You can trust the people that work at BestBuy cuz their really 16-20 year old kids that just go off specs

Usually thin TVs need a separate sound bar. When the Geek Squad set up the TV and ran tests without yet setting up the sound bar, we found that for the bedroom, where we watch regular TV and movies, the sound system of the Viera was excellent, matching the excellent screen. There is no better Plasma TV.

Best TV for everything! Period. LED cant hold a candle to this at all. I was tempted to get new sony XBR which ive had in the past. All i can say is wow Panny is special

The best tv ever. Best picture for sports movies and just all around viewing. I couldn't believe how much money I saved buying it at video only in mountain view I saved several hundreds of dollars and the warranty was a great deal too. I'm so glad I shopped around. I even got a 3d hdmi cable for under $20.

i am perfectly happy with this new TV which is a big improvement compared to our previous one by the size and the quality of the image (brighter colors,3D dimension, quality of the sound). I would highly recommend it to anybody.

This is a fantastic set. You can't go wrong if you purchase this set. It is easy to connect to the internet. There a ton of features.

In my opinion, this tv is the best on the market at this time. Love the glass panel with the try blacks. Great job To provide some background for that opinion, I have tried the following sets like Samsung Led 8000 series an the LG 60PA6500. The Samsung Led was something I had to try based on some reviews but it really was quite disappointing. For end note this is the best plasma tv, sense pioneer stop making the Kuro. Only thing I don't like about this tv is the internet, that take from the tv.

I had a LG LED that I bought 6 months ago and was very unhappy with. This Panasonic is by far the best picture I have ever seen.

I would recommend this set for picture quality, but with caution. I have had the 55” VT50 for only six months. Set has been used at most two hours per day, mostly for watching videos with my kids. When working properly (or at all) the picture quality is fantastic and sound quality without any add-ons is acceptable. Two major and one lesser issue within the six months of ownership: 1) After 4 months the entire screen had to be replaced due to development of a thin red vertical line, top-to-bottom, to the left of center on the screen. That malfunction caused 3 weeks of downtime. 2) About 1 month after the screen had been replaced the set started making a humming noise briefly when first turned on. The image background began to pulse light-to-normal; the next time the set was turned on it made a loud “pop” sound, and died. The power-on indicator light is blinking 7 times repeatedly: The repair person stated that this indicates the failure of one of the circuit boards; after 2 weeks I am still waiting for the board to be replaced. 3) Minor issue: From time-to-time, with no clear pattern, neither of the 2 remote controls work. Despite the beautiful picture, this set might just be more trouble than it is worth.

My only real complaint about this TV is a faint buzzing that can be heard when the volume is low or muted. I also have a Panasonic 65" GT class that I've really enjoyed. Was looking to get another TV for a different room and got the VT50 as the GT50 was no longer available. My Panasonic GT class runs very quietly, however I noticed a faint buzzing from the VT right after setting it up. If the faint buzz doesn't bother you, than its a really good TV. However, if your last/current TV doesn't buzz and you get this set, you might notice a buzzing sound and it could be distracting. Might take it back due to this minor flaw...

This tv is amazing. The 3d is unbeatable. Love the features and picture quality.

overall tv is good, standard setting of colors and brightness from the factory is very dull and not bright or crisp. you have to adjust settings your self. geek squad people from best buy did not do the proper settings. tv was delivered and installed 3 weeks after the date it was purchased. i hope the warranty starts from the day it was installed and not the day we purchased it.
