I bought this little drone for my grown son for Christmas 2014. It had the performance features advertised. Due to the force of it's jumps there was some concern about it breaking. It did in fact break after about 3-4 weeks, but Parrot took it back for repair, determined it would be better to replace it with a new model (at no cost) so my son is getting a brand new one from them. It was great to see a company stand behind it's products and the customer service for the repair (turned replacement) was pretty smooth. All that was required was to send them a copy of the purchase receipt and they issued a Return Authorization. It is a hoot to drive the jumping sumo!!!...with your phone!

It's great! We got it for our son this past Christmas and enjoyed it. We got it on sale which was even better! It's easy for him to use. It does everything it's suppose to. Does last only about 20 mins but it charges fairly quickly. It was a good buy for our almost 10 year old.

I bought this to try and see if I would like a more expensive flying drone and learn a little about their use. This one is good to learn how to maneuver and how they operate. I also found out to be sure and see how long the battery charge last. This one last about 15 minutes before needing a re-charge. I saw that some of the flying drone have batteries that last less than 10 minutes which is about useless.

I love this thing. And the best part is that my dog really loves it. I have to keep it on a shelf so she can't get at it. The jumping sumo works great inside and out. The only drawback is the battery life, an extra one helps a lot.

The Parrot Jumping Sumo Drone is a lot of fun. My nephews enjoyed it immensely, and had no trouble figuring it out. In fact, they taught me a few things on it, pretty cool! I have not yet figured out how to move the wheels in and out; so I will keep working on that. It is probably something very simple that you need to do, so eventually, I will figure it out. You need a mini-flash drive, with a "female" end to insert into the Parrot, if you want to record videos; it will not do it and download onto your smartphone, like the still shots do. That's kind of a pain, because it is hard to find a flash drive that is small enough to fit into the space provided; the design of the drone. Over all, I have enjoyed it, great for kids. My next one will be a drone that flies :)

This little guy is a lot of fun. I did my research prior to purchasing it for my 12 year old son and found that a lot of people said the jumping function broke within days of purchase. I figured it was a cool enough little drone that if that was its only problem it was still worth purchasing. True to my research, the jumping function broke within two days but other than that it's super fun and streams great quality video for a very decent range. We can drive it from one side of the house and through bedrooms with multiple walls between myself and the drone with very little interference. I don't know who enjoys it more, me or my son! I'm very pleased with all of my Parrot products.

Got this for my sons 14th b-day. He isn't a super techy kind of kid, but loves it. Turns are limited to 90 degrees, would be much better if you could turn at whatever angle you wanted.

Bought this for my 9 year old son...turned out to be his favorite Christmas gift....only drawback is that you only get about 20 to 30 minutes of run time before you need to recharge but I knew that going in...awkward placement of flash drive as well

(**Accidentally wrote the review for this one on my review for the Parrot-Rolling Spider Bluetooth Robot Insect Drone...) Actually a pretty fun drone, the jumping thing was quite effective at startling people...but, quite frankly it has a major design flaw. The spring action that loads the drone into jumping position is pretty cheaply made, just a circle of plastic on the inside with a locking mechanism. Because of the strain of holding it in the lock position, the plastic breaks pretty easily. Not a big deal if you're good with strips of aluminum and super glue, but kind of a hassle to fix, and it broke after just a few days. Hoping our Red & Green patch job will hold. Otherwise, pretty fun to play with, when it's not busted.

This gound-rolling drone is pretty neat! I was surprised how light it is & easy to control. I definitely recommend this for younger kiddos!

I got this as a present for someone and he loves it. Even in his 20's it is entertaining. Not only does it roll around, it jumps quite high and has a camera with a record option for sd card.

I read a lot of reviews before I buy somethings and this one didn't have some great reviews. But my son wanted and he has had none of the problems the reviews talk about.

It's not a "typical" drone in the sense it doesn't fly, however it is a lot of fun and the video quality is pretty good. And it will jump 2-3 feet off the ground!

Jumping sumo works as advertised. Controls using our iPhone worked well and the camera is super cool. Only drawback is the battery doesn't last more than 15 minutes or so unless you don't do any "jumping", then you might get 20 minutes. Charging can take a while too. To get the most out of this you'd need at least 2, maybe 3 batteries. Another small hassle would be that you need to manually connect to the sumo's wifi every time you start. It's not bluetooth connected but you do get better range from wifi so that makes sense.

My 9 year old loves this drone. It has held up for 2 months no, with constant use. It can jump pretty high, and is manageable enough to hop in progression to do things like hop from the floor, to a chair, to the table. Camera works fine - cool to "spy". Battery life is ok - buy an extra battery if you can for non-stop use.
