I don’t play Xbox like my son and husband do, so when using the Xbox to watch Blu-ray’s it was hard for me to use the regular controller. This makes it so easy, just like a regular Blu-ray or dvd remote!

Priced cheaper than the official remote for Xbox One, this model by PDP is actually superior with it's button backlighting, and ability to manipulate all menus on Xbox One as well as serving as a Universal Remote if you need that.

Was on sale and cheaper than the smaller Microsoft branded remote. The back light automatically comes on when the controller is moved and also has a button to go directly to live TV which is how I get my video in on my television

I use my XBOX to watch cable TV. In order to change the channel we had to use the joysticks and that was annoying. This remote makes it much easier to flip through channels, it’s a nice product

So far so good. Design-wise I wish it was boxier since it tilts easy in my hand when pushing buttons on the left and right. In other words the back is too round. But it certainly does what it needs to and the light feature is great. Great value.

I love this thing, I was tired of always having to turn on the controller to change a movie or click next on Netflix. With this you don’t have too. I loved it so much I have 3, 1 for each room with an Xbox.

My precious dog had chewed up my media controller for XBOX One S. I liked this small controller but it seems that it is obsolete. I could not find it any where but some refurbished units.
I bought this new media controller at Best Buy. It is not bad, but not as good as old smaller one. I think there is a time lag for this controller to start up. It is in sleep mode and it wakes up when you pick up, but it does not work right away like the old one.
Also, it is supposed to be a universal controller however there is no instruction on how to set up with TV and other devices. I probably will not use this as a main controller anyway, but it is a bit disappointing.
Other than that, it does a job and I am OK with it, although I end up using XBOX controller to control the media when I notice after all.

Pros -I like the feel of the remote, has decent battery life.
Cons -the main directional tracker does not seem solid enough to hold up to the use time will tell. Needs a Right and Left function for some streaming sites that fan jump to exact spots with them.

Thought it would be a real time-saver, but not so much. Still, it functions without difficulty, when I do use it...which is not as often as I anticipated.

I like this remote much better than the Insignia version I bought a couple of years ago. Has a track pad as well as all of the functions that you would expect. It’s backlit which is a plus but lights up even if you slightly brush against it.

I have a two year old who likes to get his hands on our expensive xbox one controllers. This is a nice little addition we picked up that allows us to still browse through apps and watch TV without or little one smashing an expensive controller.

For a long time I had been lamenting the loss of the ability to control volume and tv from the Xbox cell phone apps. This remote filled the gap and then some. One thing I will say is a lot of people seem to be complaining that you have to hit volume tons of times to get it to register, this is not true, you need to make sure you are pointing the remote at the Xbox otherwise the signal from the remote can get muddled with the signal from the IR blaster. Also if your stereo receiver and Xbox are close together, the IR signal sent from the remote to the Xbox can still interfere with the IR signal that is sent from the Xbox to the receiver through the IR blaster, so best to keep the Xbox away from the cable box and stereo in this configuration

Good remote and very convenient for using the Xbox as a media center. Only disappointment, which is my fault for not reading the description better, is that it requires line of sight to work. It would be much better if it worked like the controllers do.

This remote is better, IMO than the xbox remote. It has more buttons and it's great to be able to have play/pause and rewind, plus numbers on the pad. It is so much better than having to use the controller to play HD movies.

This is my 2nd one of these, and they work AWESOME! Can use right out of the box, don't need to program. And if you have several Xbox's, you can use with both without having to disconnect the remote.
