Whole reason I got this remote was so that I only need one remote to control my tv, cable box, and Xbox. It advertises that the remote controls volume on your TV and yet the volume buttons don't do anything. (I know I have the IR cords hooked up correct because my Xbox remote app on my iPhone can control my tv volume through the Xbox). Other than that, works fine. Has an XBOX button on the top that functions exactly like the button on a normal controller. Pressing it turns on your XBOX. One Guide button takes you directly to tv listings , tap twice to go to full screen tv. The buttons light up when it moves, (except for X, A, B, Y) which is helpful in the dark. Play/pause etc. buttons control Netflix and such just fine. Comfortable to hold, especially compared to the small Xbox brand remote. The remote would be great, but I can't get over the fact that the volume buttons don't work, which is why I can't recommend it.

Remote dose what it is intended to do. It connected without a problem, really like the neat feature where the backlight turns on when you pick up the remote. Love the rubber feel to it, highly recommend!

This remote is perfect. Great price, design and ease of use. Strongly recommended for the older or non gaming member of your family that doesnt want to or care to learn how to use the standard xbox controller.

I would most definitely recommend this remote. It is sleek and feels more expensive than the price tag reflects. Works simply with my Xbox one and I did not have to do any programming. Certainly a good purchase.

No sync needed, ready to go. Point and let it work its magic. I love this remote, I never use my controller anymore other then to play games. I save batteries and can zoom through right to what I want to watch.

Nice for when watching Netflix or Blu Ray's. No need to fiddle with the regular Xbox controller. And all the buttons light up for easy viewing at night. Would buy again

I went with this brand instead of the Xbox branded remote and I don't regret it. This remote has more buttons which means more functionality. It's also cheaper, therefore the better choice in my opinion.

For when you're NOT using your Xbox One/ One S for Gaming!!! The Manufacturer even included Batteries to get you started right out of the box. With the Xbox platform being more than just a dedicated gaming console & more of an entertainment content hub, in all of its various forms, I often feel that it'd be best to have separate controller to use aside from any of the gaming controllers that I have available for the purpose of ... uh , Gaming .lol . Compared to the other option that was available This was the choice for me . Simple , well-designed, great TACTILE feel, and intuitive to use.Great addition imho if your Xbox One experience is one that's encompasses more than just being dedicated to gaming.

If you are going to watch movies on your Xbox then this is a must have. The remote is clean and sleek. It makes watching any media from the console much easier to navigate. Great product and well designed.

The remote makes all text entry a whole lot easier. We love it.

I use my Xbox to watch any dvd/blu ray and this was necessary. The batteries last forever unlike my controller and it didn't even need to be synced. I turned it on and it automatically found my xbox.

I'm so glad I got this! We stream Netflix and Hulu through our Xbox, as well as play DVDs - so I was always fumbling with the controller. This works seamlessly and has subtle backlighting. Well worth it!
