I tried a lot of smart watches and so far like this best. Great price and once it gets "timeline" it will be great. Only reason I only gave it 4 stars is because I will lose my BT connection at times. Easy fix though!

Really cool and has a long Battery. But, sometimes it doesn't like to stay connected to my phone.

With updated firmware and a growing app store, the Pebble Steel is still one of the best smartwatch options out there; what it does, it does well, without trying to do everything; notifications, music control, weather, sports, you can even link to your Starbucks account and pay from your watch; most importantly though is battery life; the e-ink screen is visible during the day and only needs to charge once or twice a week

This is a great option for those not wanting to spend 400 dollars on an apple watch when it comes out. Seamless pairing and low battery impact make this a great iPhone companion. Battery life isn't so bad either, usually lasts about 4-5 days with motion tracking turned on.

I was looking for my 1st smart watch. Originally purchased the 1st generation Moto 360. After using it for a few days, I knew it wasn't for me. Didn't like the look, size and especially the battery life. I couldn't make it through the day without charging it. After reviewing the pebble, I made the switch. While it doesn't have all the bells and whistle of android wear, this watch is just what I was looking for. I just needed it for notification previews. Also use it for map directions while driving my motorcycle. Screen is very visible in sunlight and the vibrations are strong enough. Love that I don't have to charge it everyday. Overall, very pleased with this watch.

I bought this smartwatch to take to the gym and wear at work. The battery life is great (several days) and the notifications work but are not annoying like other smartwatchs. This is a watch that stays out of the way and does what you want and nothing more.

I checked out other smart watches but for me the Pebble smart watch is the best.. It vibrates when I have a phone call and shows who is calling. And shows notifications and there are a lot of apps available I bought it on sale for a great price and it's a keeper.

I bought two of these for my sons for Christmas. They had been hating on their phones for a while, but we were only half way through the two year contract, so I was looking for a way to spice it up. My sons are not particularly fitness-oriented, so after researching what was available, I decided to go with the Pebble Steel, and thus far, they seem to be happy with it. The e-ink display is visible, even in bright light, and the battery life has been good. There still aren't enough apps available, but Pebble is adding new ones all the time. Smart watches have a long way to go before they become mature products, but for now this seems to be the best one out there.

I have had this watch for about a month..I love it. Battery life is super and I love the notifications. While I can't talk on the watch, I like knowing who is calling before I reach for the phone. Text and emails also work very well...a good value!

I like the Pebble steel and it has been very reliable and goes about a week before needing to recharge. No color and no touch screen make it limited but okay for the price!

I know that there are many competitors out there, but this smart watch has already established a solid position in this emerging market with: 1. Reasonable price: For a fashion watch, some may be willing to pay around $100. The price is not very different from casual traditional wrist watches. 2. Limited and but essential functions: It is obvious that this watch is not Swiss-army style. Instead, it provides brief but essential functions such as notification(text, apps, phone call, and etc), activity tracking(walking, golf GPS, and etc), and customizable watch faces. 3. Water-proof & battery: This is hardware part. Very solid. I used this watch for my vacation at water park for 3 days without charging. 4. Style: I can tell you that its feel-and-look in real world is much better compared to photo images.

If you are in the market for a smart watch, then consider purchasing the Pebble watch. If you are in a budget, but want a lot of bang for your buck then I highly recommend this watch. It is was a breeze to set up with my Samsung Galaxy S5, or if you have an iPhone it works with iOS as well. Simple user interface lets you customize it with different watch faces, and widgets like pedometers, weather, games and other notification services. The only complaint I would have is that the screen is a little small for my taste, but other than that I cannot complain. Battery life also is a major plus-goes days without having to charge.

I bought this watch via a reccomendation from a friend. He had the original but told me about the newer all steel version. I wanted a smart watch that wasn't overwhelming like some of the competitors. I just needed something to deliver call notifications, texts, sports scores and weather allowing me to leave my iPhone in my office when dealing with customers. You can control the music on your smart phone with it too! The Pebble has a nice clean,crisp "ink on paper" backlit screen that does everything and more that I needed. There are a bunch of apps and watch faces available for this smart watch that make it quite useful for any lifestyle. I don't need a camera/phone watch, but only the uses that I mentioned above. It comes on leather but I recommend the matching steel band if your not a leather band person. It has a nice build quality and if something was to happen to it I would get another. The price has dropped a few times already and it frequently goes on sale. Check it out if you're in the market for a simple but very user friendly smart watch.

4 3/4 STARS. This smartwatch looks more like a traditional watch then the others, especially with the optional stainless band. I can check to see if messages/emails are important without checking my phone during meetings, etc, not quite so obvious. Apps make it completely customizable. Only a couple of "wish list" things keep it from an excellent 5-star score, A color/touch screen and more memory in watch for more loaded apps. Granted the size of the screen, which really is the right size, may be too small for touch screen, but the buttons on the sides work nicely. The first month I was concerned about battery life, but I was sick one day and left it on the charger for over 24 hours. Now it works all day, 4:30 am - 11pm on 70% battery. There are a lot of watchfaces and apps available, but not as many as for your phone, but more available all the time. For your "Inspector Gadget" on your Christmas list it's a great idea.

Best looking Pebble available. This is a watch that also provides notifications, and other functions through your phone. Works with both iOS and Android, but works best with Android as the open nature of the operating system.

I love the pebble steel smart watch, it has tons of watch faces, apps and other useful apps to use. Battery life is good, I get about 5-6 days before I have to recharge it. Easy to set up and use. Highly recommended.

I purchased this after my regular Pebble stopped working and briefly tried the Moto 360. I found out that I much prefer the extended battery life and physical buttons of my pebble than a touch screen, as I can activate voice commands and control my music playlists in the car via touch without taking my eyes off the road and both hands off my steering wheel. Much improved design over the regular Pebble. I regret not upgrading to steel sooner.

I have an original white pebble as well, and love it. I decided to upgrade, and I'm so glad I did. Waterproof, stylish, a battery that lasts me two weeks at least... I highly recommend looking into this watch.

This watch is the only smart watch that has 4-7 day battery life and can give you a competent ui to see notifications. This pebble watch is flexible due to its ever increasing app store. It can be a calculator, open your garage ( with some tinkering using taskr), wake you up outside your REM sleep and many other countless things. What I mainly use it for is navigation instructions using nav me, for sleep tracking, changing my music while driving using music boss, and to look at my google calendar agenda using pebbleapps. Check these apps out in the pebble store as well as taskr to make the best smart watch in the market. The apple watch will just be overkill at the tradeoff of battery life and simplicity of the pebble steel.

The Pebble Steel is really good for getting notifications and controlling music and counting steps.
