Many shows tend to fall into a rut in their second season and fail to hit the high marks of the first. Thankfully Penny Dreadful avoids this and I feel even manages to improve on it's great first season.

I love this series. It has been fun watching the writers and producers mesh different characters from different horror books and see how it turns out. I would recommend this to just about anyone.

my wife absolutely loves this show. its very cool to have some of the old horror monsters and characters added into the story line. shes even gotten me into watching it with her now.

Wonderful entertainment and a very unique story. Acting is superb and the whole idea is very imaginative while including several different horror classics into one setting. Well worth watching!

I bought this as a Christmas gift so I've not seen it yet. We have watched the Penny Dreadful series on TV (Showtime) and my Husband and I love it. We have seen it a few times.

Great characters portrayed by a great cast. This series blends the supernatural using infamous horror characters that we are all know, such as Dorain Gray and Frankenstein. This concept has been somewhat covered in movies like, "Van Helsing" and "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen". However, here the themes are for a more adult audience.

Penny dreadful season 2 takes off exactly where season 1 ended. The news villains where hidden in the first season. Plus, Dr Frankenstein and his creation face new challenges together.

The second season is possibly even greater than the first. Interesting character developments on characters you thought you knew from their previous incarnations.

Eva Green heads the fabulous cast in the wonderful second season of Penny Dreadful which focuses on Green's character. Wonderful series, can't wait for season 3!

it is super show you have to see it for yourself .and you will see why I say it is a great show .so do not miss out ,if so you have missed one great show.

I really like the mix of horror characters and the development of the story line. It is well worth the viewing Can't wait to see how the series continues.

Just as interesting and engaging as season one. Eva Green shines in her role, as do the rest of the cast. An intriguing, must seen horror show.

Season two builds up and there is no letting go and with the cast evolving into their characters, its easy to see why we are seduced by them all.

The 2nd season focuses on the rebirth of Brona/ Lily and her goals in her new life. Also, the flashback story of how Vanessa gets her powers.

I love this series. When I purchased this season I went back and watched season 1 to review and catch up. The acting and the story line are superb.

This is one of my absolute favorite new shows. Every episode is perfect. From Dorian Gray to Frankenstein the story lines are so interesting.

Penny Dreadful season 2 really expounds upon the first season and what they've built up. You'll definitely love this if you liked the first one!

In the first season we saw a meeting of classic literary horror characters as they braved the undead, the anger of a Frankenstein monster, séances from beyond and more unsettling circumstances...We expect to see even more bone chilling excitement in this second season.

Season 1 brought us otherworldly séances, walks among the living dead and the violence of the Frankenstein monster, as well as other blood tickling things....all done in elaborate settings of historical England. Season 2 should continue to entertain through this vein.

Let's face it, anybody can put together an excellent first season, but the challenge is coming back even bigger and better for season two. Fortunately, Penny Dreadful does exactly that. Acting, story and design are all top-notch, as the show builds on its first season success.
