A decent sequel to the lightning thief. Wnjoy the mythoa

Nothings ever as good as the book but this is close!

Definitely a must have movie in your movie collection!!!!!

It’s a great movie and has great graphics and good action

While this movie is clearly geared to the young adult/teen audience I found it a worthwhile watch despite the lack of sophistication;due to the great special effects and large scale use of 3d effects throughout the film. The comedic banter between characters keeps the mood of the movie light whereas I would find a more serious approach as that found in "the 300" or "the immortals" movies more entertaining, but that is clearly not the direction the filmmakers wish to go with this movie series.

My 10 yr old daughter has read all of the books and we are not allowed to check the movie out from the library anymore since we've checked it out and renewed it the maximum number of times each time. We bought this as a Christmas gift w/ the digital copy so we could watch it on the go. Needless to say she was super excited when she opened it. If you like Greek Mythology at all, this is a very well done modernization of the stories. FX and CGI are really good. Story was well written with good continuity. All around a good movie with a good score.

While the movie somewhat resembles the story in the book in parts at a high level it is not as good as the "Lightning Thief". The blu-ray has some entertaining bonus features and I'm glad that the digital copy could be redeemed through Ultraviolet, unlike the blu-ray of the "Lightning Thief". If you enjoyed the movie, or think you might, this would be the best way to get it.

The Percy Jackson series is one of my kid's favorites. Although it doesn't get as much praise as the Harry Potter series, my kids do prefer Percy Jackson. I think they simply prefer the Greek/Roman mythology to that of witches/sorcery. As for this version of the movie, I deducted a star for not including the UV digital version.

The mythical sequel to Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief. Percy Jackson is yet on another magical adventure with his teen adventurous friends. Enjoyable, action packed with mythical adventures including treacherous sea monsters while trying to find the golden fleece. Enjoyable although slow at times worth the money and the time to see this movie.

My sonand I really really loved the first Percy Jackson, and while this was one entertaining , it just lacked that special quality the first one had. The effects were very cool, but the actors just seemed .....I don't know. I am glad that I bought this movie, don't get me wrong but it is just not going to be watched as much as the first

Even though I'm much older than the typical Percy Jackson fan, I love the story. I've read all the books and am enjoying the movies. This movie shows all the characters growing up and becoming more of the heroes they were born to be. I was just a bit disappointed that it wasn't longer, so the viewer could see more of what was in the book.

This movie was okay for the price that I got it for, but I think the plot for this movie could have been less obvious from the beginning. The book was great so of course the film version has a lot to live up to and this one was better than some renditions, but still lacked the excitement of what the book gives in the writing.

Ok movie sequel. Worth the price. Would watch again.

I enjoy the Percy Jackson movies for what they are. They are based on teenagers and the books written for a younger audience. I like their play with mythology. They aren't masterpieces but well done. Good family viewing for older kids, I wouldn't recommend for younger children who may scare easily.

Although a bit cheesy at times, the Percy Jackson books are favorites of my 8 year old daughter. We love watching these movies together. There is some action and fantasy violence, and it can be intense at times, but it isn't gory. My daughter does not like violent or scary movies and was fine with this movie.

Very good family movie for those who like magic movie and have a liking to greek mythology. That goes for the parents side, kids love it because it has kids in it doing incredible things. Got it for my daughter for her Birthday because that's what she asked for. She's watched it a decent amount of times already.

I got this for my daughter who is infatuated with the books. They have taught her a lot about mythology and the movie brought it all to life. The movie is just a fun story geared towards kids so there is nothing really spectacular about it, but the dialogue is funny at times and the action keeps it interesting.

I saw movie more than a year ago in the movie theatre, and I was glad to see it on Blu-ray. It's a beautiful movie with wonderful CGI effects. Best Buy had it for only $7.50. (LESS THAN THE PRICE OF THE MOVIE TICKET!!! Watch it a couple of times and give it to someone who missed it !!!

The plot to this movie aside (as opinions vary), the video and audio on this release are good. The 3D was moderately ok, being a post converted movie. There were some scenes that benefit from the 3D, however this movie can be enjoyed equally in either 2D or 3D without much difference.

This movie lives up to its hype; however, like most movies, the book was better. A good introduction to the series for someone who has not read the book, and also a good way to encourage a reluctant reader to read the book, for the details not shown in the movie.
