Excellent game all around. Cool story, great RPG mechanics fused with surprisingly solid daily life mechanics, catchy soundtrack, stylish visuals. It's not a perfect game, but it quickly became one of my favorites

I've seen a lot of people say that the game runs on too long, but I don't think I agree. I'm around 4/5ths of the way through game and honestly, I'm dreading the ending. I want to keep playing! The dungeons are a lot of fun and battles require a fair amount of strategy. In between the dungeons you spend time with your friends and doing things like reading, eating out, studying, watching movies, etc. I think the pace of the game is really well done. By the time I started getting tired of the social part of the game, it was time for a dungeon. By the time I started getting tired of a dungeon, I would realize I was almost through with it. The gameplay is pretty addictive, I think. And the story is great.

Having played Persona games since the 3rd one on the PS2, I have been in love with the series. Persona 5 is the best one I've played so far and it's not even close. The art and style are off the charts and the music is superb as always. With the Palace and Mementos system, there are a greater variety of dungeon locations in addition to a few extra activities in the real world (gotta practice my batting skills). The only thing I've noticed as a con would be that the translation has a few weird sayings in it which can make you go "What?" a couple of times. The voice acting is great though and the characters all have their specific motivations and life challenges as usual.

The Persona series is well known for it challenging story material and incredibly deep game play. Persona 5 is no different, it takes everything the series has learned in it's twenty years of existence and perfects it in every conceivable way. The characters are deep and fleshed out, the story is dark but hopeful, and the world feels absolutely alive. While the game might be to everyone's tastes, it is an incredible game that has heaps of polish and love. You will not regret the 100 hours of time you put into this experience.

Man, this game. Its got so much style and so much love put into all the systems. I am really impressed by the story and the combat also. Just buy this if you like JRPGs. Its wonderful.

A throwback Japanese RPG that feels as fresh as any other title released in recent memory. This is my first foray into the Persona series and I have been very impressed. There is so much style, from the character intros, battle animations and dialogue. The music is some of the best I have heard in a game for years. Traditional JRPG fans are sure to be pleased, yet the varied combat elements, persona collecting and fusing and simulation aspects are sure to draw in newer gamers as well. Those concerned about length should have little to worry about as you can easily put in over 100 hours finishing the main story. Please give it a try!

This game is a True Masterpiece anyone giving it a score lower then 10 is trolling. The game play, the music, the characters, the STYLE. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS GAME IS PERFECT!

A solid return to old school turn based rpg gameplay. Great cast of characters that you will actually care for. Interesting story that hits close to home. Amazing music.

Persona series is one of my personal favorites. Out of all the games to come out. I believe this one might take the cake in both story and gameplay. You do not need to play any of the other games in order to enjoy this one so you don't have to worry about that. The game is a turn based JRPG style game with a lot of social dating games in between dungeon parts. Both are incredibly well done and the game has so much to do in it that even with my length of time spent with it. 60 hours so far. I am still finding stuff to do in the game. If you love video games. I heavily recommend buying this game no matter what.

This game is one of the best games I have ever got the privilege of playing. It's not only stylish but addicting gameplay with a deep story that symbolizes the constraints of society and to break free from those constraints to reach your true potential. This game isn't for everyone but it is a must get for any JRPG fan and everyone who enjoys very long and impactful games. It defines the JRPG and makes it clear that Turn base games still have a place in today's world.

So far 50 hours in since bought on release day, had to admit this is a really long game, but it is the best JRPG I've ever played in years, the unique style you can't find on the market anywhere, just don't miss it. The steelbook art is awesome!!

Excellent entry in the Persona series. The story, visuals, gameplay, music and characters are an excellent mix. If you are into RPG's, get it now.

Few games can compare to the style that is presented in Persona 5. From the menus, music, and combat it all feels fresh and unique yet familiar. The story is fantastic and with well over 100 hours of gameplay you know you will be getting your money's worth. I'd say if you're a fan of excellent turn based combat that is both fun and challenging, this is definitely a game for you. For fans of the series it's a must, but I think the same it true for jrpg lovers in general. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the genre.

Already being a huge fan of P4 Golden, this might come off as a bit bias, however, Atlus has really knocked it out of the park on this latest Persona game. Great art style, story has been a lot of fun through my play through so far, and as with the other games in the series the music is top notch.

Persona 5 is one of the few traditional turn based JRPG around. Combat is turn based, no active time battle. The fights are beautifully acted out with great finishing move animations. And the story is wonderful. Divided into 2 world's, the 'real' world where you go to school, hang around in Tokyo and have a part-time job. And the 'other' world where you battle. There is a bit of grinding involved but if you're considering this game you probably don't mind. This game will keep you busy for at least a 100+ hours.

If you have enjoyed any of the previous Persona games, this is a must buy: it's the best in the series thus far, with excellent graphics, a compelling story, and great gameplay. If you haven't played Persona games before, this might be the most accessible Persona yet, although be forewarned that these are very deep and lengthy games!

Simply amazing. Deep story, great combat. Art is very stylish, with a comic book look to it.

This was my first Persona game out of the series. I wasnt sure what how i would feel about it as im not a fan of turn based games but this was actually pretty seamless in terms of the battle system. I'm still a bigger fan of real time battles but because of the story and characters and because it takes place in Tokyo I had to get it and I'm glad I did. It is one of the best jrpgs out there!

I love many things about this game. The art style is excellent enough to overcome the less than top quality graphics. The music is perfectly in march with the style of the game. The characters are vibrant and you find yourself attached to them and their problems. However I can't give this game more than an 8 out of 10. Problems I had with this game. While the story is good the pacing created some dull and slow rhythm to the pace of the game. (long stretches of written dialog) Little pay off to completing the companion missions. Dialog choices seldom matter. Little reason to replay game. Summary This is one of the best JRPG games 8 out of 10 (better game - Nier automata) RPG decent 7 out of 10 (play the witcher instead) Casual players 5 out of 10 (game might be to long for casual players, 100 hours)
