Absolutely stunning style and gameplay that will have you addicted. For newcomers be prepared to spend about 6-8 hours in the game before it even really starts. Persona is all about patience and they really take their time easing the game mechanics into play. Cant wait for my third or fourth playthrough this one is a keeper!

I am a HUGE fan of Person 4 and Person 4 Golden when it came out, and this iteration knocks it out of the park. Great music, story, and characters.

I am an older gamer, and this game is not my cup of tea. However, I like the stylized art and interface and appreciate the story idea. It reminds my of Stands from Jojo's Bizarre adventure. My son's had logged 20+ hours on the game, and really seems to love it. I would get used to the color red, it seems pervasive as a background color on everything.

Having never played a Persona game in my life, I walked into Persona 5 not knowing what to expect. I did, however, read various online forums to get a better picture of the game and what it had to deliver. Persona 5 is a JRPG that strongly resembles your typical anime show, if you will. You're a normal high school student by day and a vigilante by night. There's so much to explore in the world of Persona 5 and to top it all off, the graphics and animation are marvelous. I absolutely love this game and can easily invest 80+ hours into it.

This game is really cool! The art style is unique and fun. It starts a little slow but I love turn based combat and the story is interesting.

Everything about this game is excellent. The music, setting, characters, gameplay. The only thing that may turn people off is its length.

Another great game from the Persona series. The visuals are stunning and the story intriguing. The steelbook case is also a great bonus.

Persona has never disappointed me and this one is no exception. If you've played the other persona games, you'll have a general idea of the core parts of the game (personas, battle system, time management type gameplay, etc). Altus created a beautiful version of Tokyo, and the lively city gives players plenty to do. I would recommend this game to vets of the series and also to newcomers. The story progresses at a good pace, and the characters are memorable. If you are a JRPG fan, this is the game for you.

I've played Persona 3, 4, the 3DS one, and now this. P5 is easily my favorite and most I believe the most refined Persona game to date. The animations, character design are top notch anime (if you're into that). Music is catchy and memorable. The only thing I wish they did was increase the framerate from 30fps, to 60fps, which would've really made the stellar character design and animations really shine.

Beautiful, stylish, and very Japanese, Persona 5 delivers in spades. I'm currently 25 hours in and am so happy I picked this up.

I love the Persona series, and this one was no exception. I put over 100 hours into this game and loved every second of it. Highly recommended for fans of JRPGs with some slice of life/dating sim elements

Persona 5 is a game you'll love if you like highly stylized visuals, incredible characters, and an an engaging story.

If you played a Persona game, you know what to expect. It's half social role playing and and the other half is dungeon crawling. The social aspect is incredibly important because forming bonds with people allow you to create stronger personas for your battles. Not to mention that often having stronger bonds usually lead to other perks like increased experience points for your reserve party members or switching them out mid-battle. Keep in mind that you're limited by your time during the day much like real life. So you have to decide if you want to dedicate your free time to increasing your stats (some relationships require certain stats), going into dungeons, or spending time with your friends. The actual story is good though the pacing could be better. You don't really get a sense of the overall plot and conflict until much later in the game. Without venturing too much into spoilers, you play as a protagonist(name is up to you) who is transferred to a new school. Certain events transpire and you end up forming a vigilante group with your high school friends known as the "Phantom Thieves" who are able to reform malicious adults by venturing into an alternate reality. Graphics are a step up from Persona 4 with characters looking more like their artwork with its distinct cell-shading style. There are also more places to explore around in Tokyo as oppose to the country-side from the older game. You can walk from location to location or you can quick travel via a map. The entire game took me 124 hours to complete. Though, I also did many of the side tasks, grind to level 99 (doesn't take that long), and created many Personas. If you're into JRPGs or Persona games, this is definitely a game worth looking into.

Persona 5, the hype has been unreal, to the point it could no longer be ignored. I took the plunge for my first Persona, and I'm glad I did. The turn based dual system is fantastic, and reminds me of my previous experience in Final Fantasy games. Engrossing story with likeable characters, and maaaaany hours of gameplay. Good graphics and plentiful options for dialogue choices, including free voice packs on the PS Store for Japanese audio, if that floats your boat.

Persona 5 is a GOTY contender. Amazing visuals, story and adventure. A real modern classic. Incredible game.

I played Persona 4 Golden on Vita, so I had an idea of what I was getting myself into, but I've still been pleasantly surprised. I expected a good game, but this game is really good. The music, the style, the story, all of it. I highly recommend if you're into RPGs or fun Japanese games.
