This is a real treat for veterans of persona 5 and those who have not played yet. If you like warrior type controls and don’t mind it. Try it out! It’s really fun, Very colorful and various shoutouts to the original game! (Mechanics, etc) I am loving this so far! This is a series that is beloved by me, I loved the fact that at least the switch got strikers. I can take it anywhere instead of being bound to home. That’s why I chose not to get it on PS4. I have not played persona 5 personally but I am familiar with the characters and story. The steel book is perfect and is really cool to look at! This is perfect to me and I recommend this to anyone who is a fan of persona or if you were just curious, I’m sure you won’t retreat this joy ride! :)

    Persona 5 Strikers

An outstanding sequel to Persona 5, the mechanics are different to the prequel and less content such as socializing, however, it progresses pretty well not many requirements but mainly side quests and characters bonds and items such as equipment and food. Needless to say it’s a new way to enjoy this similar to dynasty Warriors but for heartwarming if want to consider playing it. Also if the could be in the steelbook then two separate cases.

    Fun game for Fans

This game is great for fans of Persona 5. More story with the same great characters, more friendly interactions and hangouts, and more dungeons with interesting characters behind them. If you liked Persona 5 or Royal, you will like this game. It is basically just more P5 with a new style of gameplay. That gameplay itself is fast an fun, but you can always pause to make a choice or analyze the battlefield by calling a persona. If you’re a new fan, this probably shouldn’t be your start, but you can definitely still have a great time getting to know these characters. The dungeons and their Palace Ruler equivalent are given an interesting depth with well-handled morality. The map itself sometimes makes me feel a little lost, but that may just be the added verticality. Overall, fans of the series will enjoy this game immensely, but if you want to get into the Persona 5 universe, you should probably try Persona 5 or Persona 5 Royal first.

This is a great game but i only give this a 3 out of 5 because you should play the first game(persona 5) so then it is easier to understand but other than that, its pretty good.

Excellent game play and a well-written storyline that kept me hooked! The spinoff is definitely a must have for any Persona fan looking to complete their collection. Also the extra DLC and steelbox that came along with my order was a nice bonus!

A new addition to my favorite games

One of my favorite Switch games and a great continuation of the P5 story. The opening scene had so much lovely nostalgia in it, which is funny because I'm still playing Royal after finishing vanilla Persona 5, so there really wasn't a reason for me to feel like I miss the Phantom Thieves, but that's a testament to how good the atory snd characters are. They make you feel like you really are reuniting with friends after a long absence. Zenkichi is an awesome addition to the team and such a great character with a fun, unique Persona and skill set that makes passing the baton and controlling him it's own interesting challenge and I've enjoyed playing as Zenkichi as much as I do playing as Joker. The cooking and Bond level mechanics feel like a natural extension of the main game and I really like getting to explore areas, find recipes and have soecial little side mission requests for the other Phantom Thieves. I really can't say enough good things about this game. It helps that Persona 5/R is one of my all time favorite video games and really reinvigorated my gaming life, where I'd taken a long break from JRPGs infavor of hack and slash, Western RPG and FPS games for quite a long time. Persona reminded me of what I love about the genre and made me revisit old favorites like FFX and Dragon Quest. I highly reccomend this game to anyone though, not just Persona, JRPG or Musou style game fans. The characters, art direction, soundtrack and combat are all top tier and the friendship between the Phantom Thieves and the character growth they undergo in the story is well worth your time.

Great RPG, more Persona than a musou

This is a really good game. I went in expecting at least a fun romp through the P5 world with some musou combat that would get old fast, but perhaps still be fun enough to let me blow through the story. This turned out very different to that. This is nearly a full-blown Persona game with just a touch of musou. The combat setup functions like a musou with large groups of trash enemies with sometimes a few stronger enemies in between, so there are no turns, but otherwise it is entirely Persona. The ever present Persona abilities, items, all-out attacks, and baton passes are all there. I do wish that you could swap in team members that aren't currently present in the party. The story and writing is quite good, and feels classic Persona style and fun. The length was about 50 hours for me which is good. I was not disappointed here. My one criticism would be that the early game can turn some players off because it is rather unforgiving. Early on, you have very limited MP reserves to cast spells to hit enemy weaknesses, your stats suck due to lack of gear, and items are pretty scarce. Some non-boss enemies can also 2 or 3 shot you as well. I would advise new players to pay extra attention in the early game to your own weaknesses, your position in the playing field, and to make use of the ability to auto-heal upon leaving the jail. Graphics, sound, and loading times are all fine though I would have liked to see the UI and text be scales to the Switch native resolution.

GREAT Even When You Never Played Persona 5 Before

This is absolutely the best SINGLE PLAYER GAME I'VE EVER BOUGHT. I never played a Persona game ever, but this title helped me get into the Persona series. There are references to the prequel (Persona 5), but they are so minor you wouldn't know what they are and it contains NO MAJOR SPOILERS from the previous game. A GREAT TIME KILLER AS WELL!

The Phantom Thieves Stole My Heart Once Again

Joining the Phantom Thieves again could never have been done better, a different formula but with the same characters and world helps to spice things up. I wouldn’t say it’s worth 60 bucks, but for the 25 dollars this game often goes on sale for it is a fantastic purchase.

Persona 5 strikers lacks a lot of the social sim features a lot of the persona fans like in persona, but the cast is all here and it has a nice beat them up to feel to it. I wouldn't recommend it but it's not a bad game and i'll probably finish it. The game felt very stripped down from the original and would have really liked to see it being sold as DLC for the main game more than anything.

It's a pretty good game. It's different from your usual Persona game due to the more action-oriented combat system, but feels oddly familiar with the way Personas and some of the fine mechanics of Persona 5 work. Although, the usual life sim elements are heavily downplayed compared to past entries; and it's considerably shorter, like a good 40-50 hours will be spent finishing the game at a decent pace. Also, it's a lot more linear. It's a good buy for fans of Persona 5 as it's a sequel and is definitely more fan-service for fans, however, for others, I wouldn't recommend as you need to know what's happened in Persona 5 to know what some of the stuff and lingo in this game. Otherwise, it's preeetty good.
