This is a must have if you have to be out of the house for a couple of days. Our cat got used to it quickly. Read the instructions before connecting the unit to Wifi.

After going through 2 feeders, this is the best one by far. Even the most smartest cats can't get through this.

I read the reviews initially and there was one that stood out about how it jams up. However, that was pretty much the only one I saw and there seemed to be enough good things about this product that I could deal with a jam here and there. No so... Even when I prop up the back, it's good for a feeding or two but then jams up. Completely unacceptable when I leave for a couple days. Everything else about this product is amazing... looks great, sound concept, easy to set up but if it jams all the time, it's useless. Be cautious... I do not recommend this item if you really need to count on it.

Works great and is exactly what I was looking for.

After returning the first defective unit we were disappointed with the second one as it does not push the food out with enough force to get it all out into the bowl. It needs another set of rollers or some sort of way to push the rest of the food out of the shoot. We have to clear it out with our hands to get it all into the bowl. Gross.

A novel idea for people who shouldn't really own dogs. This item manages to take away any connection between you and your animal. They will wait at the machine for food and will have no "need" for you. Also the measurement of food that shoots out is completely off mark. A normal cup of food does not compute with this machine, you have to play trial and error for it to give the right amount according to their measurements. Customer service is hit or miss, they answer or they're all busy and try again later and hangs up. No matter what time of day it is. Get a petsitter or board your animal if you can't feed them and if you can't feed them how are you letting them used the bathroom?....... Don't waste your money.

Peace of Mind: We have had our SmartFeeder for over a week now. During that time we went away for a weekend get away. We were able to take a short weekend get away without having to worry about feeding our furry friends. Construction: We live in a home built around the "internet of things" from Smartthings, Phillips Hue, MyQ and many more. Petnets smart feeder takes the cake with reliability and performance. The design is impeccable, I was pleasantly surprised how strong and solid this device is. This is no, cheap plastic pet feeder. The setup was one of the simplest devices I have ever setup. Price: This price point is spot on! To me, the health and safety of my two cats is priceless. But this device is affordable enough for any pet owner and yet feels like the Mercedes of pet feeders. Animal Reaction: Our cats are high maintenance and slightly skidish, let's just say Pavloves was right, as soon as they hear the first kibble drop they know it's time to eat and they come running. This device really helped control the portions of food. Cons: I wish they made a dual bowl option for two pets. Other than that, if you are a gadget guy like me, YOU MUST buy this!!! Even if you don't have a pet.. Put candy in it or something just buy it because you will love it!
