This is one of those old Sifi movies that isn't bad for it's time. The way movies are made today though, this would be considered a class B movie.

This is a great addition to any horror fans collection. The remastering of this film was done with excellence and looks better than it ever has. Only wish I would have know there was a box set coming from this same studio a few months later before buying any of the individual movies. So keep that in mind if you want to buy this title but would also want the other films is the series too. I believe the box set containing all 5 films is being released in the end of March 2017.

Phantasm is a classic horror that makes you say what's going on? This film aged reasonably well. See it late night with popcorn.

I have been waiting for while for this one to finally get remastered and put on blue ray. This one along with the original Halloween the first and last Nightmare on Elm Street and the first two Hellraiser movie's are the gold standard of horror films. This movie always seems to get over looked. This is a real classic.

Regardless of how many copies of this film you already own, unless you have this new restoration with lossless original audio, you’re missing out! Tons of extras, and the film restoration is a wonder to behold. Highly recommended!

One of my all time favorite horror franchises. When I saw this was on sale at Best Buy in Steelbook, I knew I had to get it. Great picture quality on Blu Ray compared to what I was used to many years ago.

World wind horror film that is more than the typical slasher genre of the 80s. A true nightmare film that turns the horror genre in a different and haunting thrill.

One of the oddest, and most original horror films of the 70's. The remastering on the picture and sound are amazing! Unfortunately the bonus content from the Anchor Bay DVD release is not included (if you have at DVD I suggest keeping it for the extras) but if you are a Phan, this is still worth picking up

When I heard that Don Coscarelli did a 4K and Dolby 5.1 to the classic Phantasm, I had to have it. I was not disappointed. Brings back memories of the drive-in theater sitting on the hood of my Dad's station wagon. I miss that and my Dad.

I have been waiting for this to make it to Blu Ray, in this quality for a while. This is a great campy cult classic horror movie with all of the trimmings. The picture looks as good as you will probably ever see it for a low budget horror movie from 1979. I remember seeing this as a younger lad and it left an impression for sure. If your into Evil Dead, Night of the Living Dead and such you will enjoy this movie.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that thought that Phantasm would never make it to Blu-ray. The Anchor Bay dvd release was okay, but it still left a lot of room for improvement. This set doesn't have EVERYTHING i'd want (A box set is on the way with all 4 films), but this will tide me over until then.

Great looking re-mastered Blu Ray of one of the weirdest of the 70's horror flicks. The dream like quality of many of the scenes adds to the creepiness and it doesn't overstay it's welcome. Good performances from the cast, especially Angus Scrimm as the Tall Man. If you are looking for a linear storyline that spells everything out, look elsewhere, but if you just go with it, you'll have a blast.

I've owned the second movie in the series for awhile now. Long overdue Blu Ray appearance of the original and classic horror film. I'm glad no one has tried to remake this. (Sequels are fine - remakes suck!) Highly recommended.

I love this weird, scary, spine-chilling movie since I first saw it on TV in the '80s. This remastered Blu-ray is a gorgeous version of this classic horror movie, and I love the Steelbook case.

A great American horror film from the past, still have it on VHS Blu-Ray best video and sound with a great price from Best Buy treat yourself and pick it up... Halloween is Here !!!

Finally this has made it to Blu Ray and it was worth the wait. The transfer is pristine and the film itself still holds up although I think its mostly nostalgia that made me say that. If you've been a fan since it was originally released, this is a must have for your library.

Not all of it had the clarity I was expecting from a 4K resolution restoration but the colors are definitely brighter. Several parts of the film either I've forgotten or not noticed till now. The extra features are nice especially seeing Angus Scrim when he was younger.

I am so happy that they gave this movie the blu ray treatment it deserved. My absolute favorite horror movie. Pick it up before it becomes extinct like the dvd release!

I saw this in 1979 and this has every element that a cult classic should have. Bizarre to the extreme, memotable characters, quotable lines, and a villain for the ages. BOOOYYYYY!!! Is this ever a great flick!
