Serves my purposes well. Excellent for general use of playing DVDs. Controls for wireless functions are cumbersome and Facebook function does not work, but this is not important to me. I also bought one for my daughter and she loves it. Outstanding purchase considering the low price.

it was very easy to set up and everything I wanted in a bluray player.

Got this for my 16 year old son, he's pretty hard on electronics lol (leaves them on constantly etc) but it's still working great after almost a year. The only thing he doesn't like is the limited channel selection. No Hulu or youtube.

I got this on sale and use it HD DVDs and CDs. I don't use the WIFI functions. Seems a little slow for that.

I bought this for my Sister-in-Law as a Christmas gift. She is very pleased with the "smart" functions. We have yet to play any BluRay discs.

If you just want a no-frill blu-ray player, this Philip model is probably OK, However, for $10 more, you can get a SONY Model BPD-3200 that offers tons more features. The one that I find especially useful with the SONY model is that I can readily stream all my PC media files to my large-screen HDTV via the blu-ray player using DNLA, whereas the Philips one cannot. So I returned it, and will stick with SONY for all my future purchases.

I have been using Phillips for at least 10 years. The great thing about it is that it plays most of the format. I have a blu ray and a dvd player. No complain. Great brand and product.
