Low cost, but don't let that fool you. Has provided great lighting, dimming, and connectivity with the Smartthings app. Highly recommend.

I love the Hue light bulbs! They’re amazing with how they can dim to whatever your % preference of lighting you want and gives me assurance that I can turn lights on and off from afar with the Hue App and my Amazon Alexa Echo Plus. So highly recommended for friends and family that I got some of these bulbs as Christmas gifts!

I have purchased quite a few of these bulbs for my home and am very satisfied with them. The app is easy to use and allows for both in-home and away functionality. The bulbs also work seamlessly with Google Home. Accessories such as the wireless dimming switch are also very nice and easy to set up. One word of caution. These bulbs will make a buzzing noise if placed into a light socket that is attached to an existing non-LED dimmer switch. You will need to upgrade your dimmer switch to support LED bulbs (which I have not yet confirmed eliminates the buzzing noise) or change to a good old fashioned On/Off switch (which I have confirmed eliminates the buzzing noise) and purchase the Phillips Hue dimmer switch which retails for $24.99 currently. The only other drawback is that Phillips, as far as I know, does not make an in-wall dimmer switch as some of the other manufacturers do. There are occasions where this would be useful as I'm sure you'll come to recognize if you are installing wireless lighting in your home. Also, these bulbs are not currently available in candelabra bases so you will need to purchase converters if you want to place them in light fixtures that require those.

I wasn't looking to buy a smart bulb when I went to Best Buy however I was looking to purchase the Echo plus and to my delight the bulb was bundled in with the speaker. Now that I have one I'm going to go out and get a few more since they are so easy to use and the light coming from them are better than conventional bulbs.

I started started up with Hue with the color starter set. From there i expanded to the white ambient 4 pack which work wonderfully. What i needed was a bulb for the outdoors. Color really isn't necessary outside and this bulb is perfect. Offers dimming and works with the rest of my Hue collection. Great price as well!

Works great with Alexa and love that I can control the light without getting up. I even bought an extra for my parents.

I have several of these bulbs and they are great. You do need a hub and the app. Easy to setup. I love being able to set a timer. I have one setup for regular light in the evening over kitchen sink then changes to a nightlight for overnight hours. Then I have it shut off during the day. Just love it.

These are Philips basic smart bulbs and the ones you'll probably invest most heavily in. While the Ambiance bulbs offered by Philips lets you choose the precise hue of white you want a room, these are not stuck to just one. They have presets, or "scenes", to light a room. From Relax to Concentrate to Nightlight and named scenes such as "Savannah Sunset" and "Arctic Aurora" these bulbs offer good stock choices for lighting. Looking for something more personal? With the app, one can add a picture to the presets and a new scene will be set up. For example, I used a picture of a full moon in a dark night sky and the scene created (using two of these bulbs) did really well recreating the look of a moonlit sky. This process can be hit or miss but it works better than I had expected. The Hue app is a bit clunky to use so I suggest setting up your rooms slowly and deliberately within the app. Above all else, know where you're placing the lights so that you aren't switching them out as correcting this within the app later is a PAIN. These bulbs are the cheapest of the Hue collection and the ones you'll primarily use to set up smart rooms within your home. My suggestion is to purchase a starter kit with the Philips hub and the Ambiance bulbs (for accent lighting and lamps) and add these least expensive ones to major lighting in rooms. The hub can control up to sixty lights I think so slowly adding in lighting is easy. As long as you don't get your bulbs crossed between rooms (note my warning above) Siri and Alexa are great controls over your burgeoning smart home.

This was the best investment I made besides my Echo. I am habitually leaving the lights on at night. Never again and when it does instead of me having to reach or move to turn it off I can whisper to Alexa to turn it on off. It’s done I don’t get woken up by the bright light. We can turn them on simultaneously and off. Love, Love, Love them! I just suggested them to one of my girlfriends. I am now suggesting them to you. Oh wait did I say they help lower your light bill? Great light at a good price. Wonderful that it works seemlessly with Alexa. And the dim and brightness are great also.

Easy to setup and program. Works on schedule easily, or you can manually turn things on or off. Works with Alexa with a little bit of tweeking the Alexa app first. Once it's named, Alexa will turn it on or off. You will need to give it a very unique name so you don't confuse it with another device with a similar name.

Solved our problem of the kids always leaving the lights on after we've gone to bed. The hallway light streams through a vent and into our master bedroom, causing us to have to get up in the middle of the night to turn it off. Now, we just tell Hue to turn it off at 10 pm if it's on. Same with the Pantry...works GREAT! Love it!

Purchased these for my bedroom. Super bright. Didn't realize how dim our previous lights were until we put these in.

I keep buying more and more of these to place all over the house. Love how easy the Hue system is to expand and use.

Can't say enough about these bulbs. To be able to control your lights with your voice, using in combination with an Echo device, and dim your lights to your liking simply by unscrewing your old light bulb and screwing this one in is miraculous. Can't recommend enough. We plan to set the whole house up with these lights.

These bulbs work great with the hue app, Apple home, and Alexa. They are very easy to install, a lot easier than smart switches which involve electrical wiring. You just screw these in, pair them, and name them. While the color bulbs are a little expensive, the regular white bulb is not much more than a non-smart LED. Great buy!

it was easy to use and set up. i love the fact that i can pre program it to turn my lights on and off when i leave.

Compatible with Amazon echo Super easy to install and setup. I plan on buying them for every room in the house.
