After owning both Gen. 2 and 3 products, the Gen. 3 are the far more superior lights. Brighter and more vivid colors are the true selling point. Only wish the bulbs were a tad cheaper, but wonderful none the less.

reason for purchase we are getting a new home an we are going smart & energy efficient. purchased starter kit and a lamp for test run and WOW I was amazed will be purchasing more for the entire house/room.

Love them, Have them set up with my google home and use it in my bedroom. Colors are cool and setting them up is easy.

Its nice to have these lights. Easy set up and almost instant connection with Alexa dot. All range of colors and tones

Easy to setup and easy to use. The 3rd generation bulbs are much brighter. Hue app and Alexa work flawlessly with Hue.

Easy to setup with Homekit and Alexa. Can control on wifi or cellular internet. Range of colors could be better. Nice to have, but not needed and overpriced. Only save $10 buying the kit vs buying all individually.

The Philips Hue system in my house started as two lightstrips for a unique application (aquarium backlight) and quickly morphed into a full household of Color Ambiance lights. I love the mood lighting, themes, dimming, timers, random schedules, etc. It wasn't a cheap setup, but extremely easy to setup and superbly functional so worth every penny to me. The starter kit is a great way to get started with 3 bulbs that can be used nearly anywhere in the house as well as a hub.

No matter what time of day, theme of the party, or mood you are in, the options and colors are great for anything you can think of. Our family has the lights set on a timer so they fade at a certain time of night which is a great reminder of bedtime approaching. In the morning we have them set to turn on when it's time to get up for the day. We also love changing colors depending on a movie we are watching or whatever we may be doing. I would buy this product over and over again.

I put these in the can overhead lights in my kitchen and set "moods" with these and the light strips under the cabinets. they are great fun and a cheap way to revitalize your current kitchen space

I LOVE these lights. I have the colored ones in my family room. It's great when we're watching movies, we can dim the lights to shades of blues or purples which is a great alternative to turning the lights off as we have 2 kids under the age of six who want the lights on and a 14 yr old who wants the lights off. I have the app on my phone to control the lights and I also use alexa tho she can only turn them on off and dim, not change the color. Great buy in my opinion.

Great product and easy to use with Alexa . Also I love the fact that you can change the colors whenever I want.

All though these lights are expensive. I believe they will pay for themselves down the line. They are LED which is a cost savings to begin with not to mention you can set them up to automatically come on and off. So If you head out and forgot to turn the lights off they will do it by themselves. you can also set up routines so that they can cycle on and off when you want. The color changing aspect is a novelty but the automation is the real plus, in my opinion

The lights work really well, paired with google home is a plus and with the bundle Best Buy offers I got it at a great price. so far no issues will try to remember to update in a few months.

The Hue starter system is something i have looked at but couldn't justify the cost of for a few years now. I finally bit the bullet and i couldn't be happier. The set up is extremely easy. Very basic instructions and then the app on your phone or tablet takes over from there. It took me longer to run power to the bridge (no open outlets close to my router) than to get the bulbs up and running. Great product. Can't wait to get more bulbs and expand my system.

I purchased the Philips Hue started Kit to be used in India. But the 110V bulbs do not work in India due to a different voltage source. There are 220V philips hue bulbs available in UK.

Super easy setup and use. A little pricey but I still like then and will likely buy more in the future.

I purchased this set to replace a Crestron light setup that had gone defective and this was better than the (much) more expensive system that it replaced. I only use it for white lights, but because you can adjust the color temperature using the iPhone it looks more like the incandescent lightbulbs we're used to. Dimming is very smooth and works great with my Alexa system. (it takes about 3-5 seconds to respond after the voice command, but it works great)

I was looking for a ay to enhance the experience in my football themed basement. I researched lighting options and decided on the Phillips Hue brand. It is very simple to get started. Exchange the bulbs in the fixtures, hook up the bridge to your wifi and download the app to yor phone. That's it. You then have the ability to set up and control color patterns and light intensity with the tap of a finger. A little expensive but, good stuff.

Love these lights so much that we continue to add more of them to our home. We can change the ambience of the house with colored themes of lights synchronized to music. Fun, fun, fun.
