I love these lights, they’re very bright, use way less electricity than normal lights, and are dimmable. The included bridge is helpful as well. However at this price point it is lacking a very simple feature. With the bridge and the app you should be able to control the lights from anywhere, but you can only control them while you are on your home wifi. You must have an apple homepod or apple tv to control them from anywhere. Overall a very good product.

Easy to install, both bridge and bulbs. Setup is easy too!! No hassles.

I like Philips hue. I know their bulbs are expensive compared to the competition, but I am already invested in their walled ecosystem and I'm willing to pay for it. I found it a bit annoying I couldn't find these bulbs through auto search and had to type in their IDs, but now that they're paired they work just fine. Great promo price for them too.

Finally upgraded my individual Bluetooth bulbs and bought this Hue Bridge. Adding those bulbs to the two this came with was easy and hassle free. Have since bought more bulbs and each time, adding them to the hub have been flawless. Highly recommend skipping the individual bluetooth bulbs and just buying this.

This Philips Hue starter kit was purchased because my old Hue bridge stopped working. I bought it sometime in 2020 and it worked flawlessly until very recently. Don't know why it stopped working. I bought the new starter kit because I needed the bridge and a couple of additional bulbs and the kit was the most economical alternative. The new bridge and bulbs installed beautifully with minimal time and no issues. Getting the old bulbs to be recognized by the new bridge did not go as well. I had to get the serial numbers from each of the old bulbs. This meant that I had to remove each bulb from it's fixture and manually enter the numbers. Each bulb connected easily using the serial numbers. One suggestion to Phillips would be to put the serial numbers closer to the top of the bulb base so that it can be more accessible and the bulbs don't have to be removed. Another suggestion would be to have the serial number included in the "light info" screen in the app. The best thing would be to fix whatever bug that makes it where the bulb is not recognized by a new Hue bridge. Aside from the installation woes, the lights are fantastic. I love that the bridge connects to Amazon Alexa. I can create custom lighting and control the different scenes and groups with the app or Alexa. The lights are bright enough for me and dimmable, which is great for nighttime TV.

Worth the buy for sure. We save a lot of money with them. I would to only turn the lights off by the app or with Alexa! Do not turn off via switch because it messes up the lights in a inconvenient way. Just plug the hue connector to the wifi router and you are good to go once you set the lights up.

I bought this with the Philips Hue lightstrip, light bars, and sync box. The Hue Hub is needed for it all. This is the best value with the 2 bulbs included. I enjoy being able to dim the lights with the app.

Perfect! I just brought my house and work late some nights. I didn't want to leave my patio and back porch light on all day and night. I brought these and set them up. I do not have to worry about forgetting to turn them on or off. They're amazing!

Had at old home before our move and it was sketchy at best with many interruptions in service. Switched to Alexa at new home and ditched this. Been trying to resell it but no one wants it, should tell you all you need to know.

I got the plain white bulb for rooms, works great with both iPhone home app and also comes with their own app, it was also easy to set up. They have great customer service, they explained my options on how to set up

It makes easy turn on and off the lights upstairs specially because I usually forget to do it manually. I do it through google or using my phone now.

I need the bridge and no one in town had it in stock. Found this kit that includes 2 white only bulbs and a bridge v2. Only cost $10 more than buying the bridge separate. Works like a charm, put the extra bulbs in my bedroom.

Phillips always will be my go to. Love how easy to set up they are and haven’t had to replace a single bulb. I’m in 6 years with some of them

I had been connecting my Hue light bulbs through the Alexa hub. I have had a couple of issues... 1. When there was a power outage, all the bulbs came on and could not be turned off through Alexa until wireless resynced. This posed a problem in the middles of the night. 2. We had some bulbs that lost connection and I was unable to get them to communicate through Alexa. This Hue Hub solves these issues. YOu can configure the lights to return to the "previous state" in the case of a power outage. I haven't tested this yet, but I'm looking forward to not having every light come on in the house when the power spikes. I was also able to connect the previously unresponsive bulbs. It's a winner as far as I'm concerned.

Bought lights for inside and outside the house. It was easy to set up and I can set the lights either from home or on the road which is what I wanted. Just wish the prices were lower as it's still expensive.

Easy to setting up! With Alexa and Google hub . I can control it remotely with my cellphone when I’m away of my place. Great choice!

I love that I can tell Alexa to turn on or off my lights especially when I forgot to turn them off. I am still trying to get Alexa to turn on or off the tv. Geek Squad will come and set that up for me.

Incredibly easy set-up and although these aren't the color-changing bulbs, they are perfect for an entryway or kitchen so you don't stub your toe trying to navigate in the dark.
