You can create any type of color pallet for this system. Hue lights are the way to go to set the mood, party, or calming lights to end your hard day on. There are some great apps out for a few bucks that truly expand the use of the Hue System.

I love these for my home theater. I'm able to control through my harmony remote...turn off different zones. If you buy these, buy a hue tap.

This is a great bulb to use as a replacement to traditional incandescent bulbs and value-priced LED soft-white bulbs. This can give such personality to a room. It's a premium bulb at a premium price but worth the quality.

I bought these light (13 in all) and I have to say they are great!!! They were the perfect replacement for my fluorescent flood lights I had before. I was afraid they would not be bright enough but but was I wrong. Not only were they bright enough, but the color range is top notch. Plus there are many apps available to set up timers, so you can set one or all the light to turn on or off at specific times. There's a lot more I can say, but if your not sure then start with one and you'll be hooked. Highly recommended.

With a starter kit and these bulbs you can achieve a system would cost hundreds of dollars install in a remodel type job. app needs more control options but other than that it made my project look a thousand times better.

I bought the set of 3 bulbs with the hub but needed a 4th bulb for our bedroom. Adding the additional bulb was not difficult. However, when I use the Hue App on my iPhone the preset scenes only control the original 3 bulbs, not the separately added 4th. But it's relatively easy to work around this. I've just created new scenes based on the original Hue app scenes and included the 4th bulb setting in the new scene. It's a little tedious but once you've created the new scene and saved it, you are done.

These bulbs work great within the hue ecosystem. They are capable of producing a wide range of light. I would be more impressed with the app if it had more features beyond the "recipes". It would be nice if the bulbs could retain their color/settings after power is cut at the switch.

Perfect replacements for incandescent lights in our kitchen. It might seem like overkill to be able to change to *any* color in one's kitchen, but being able to shift between different shades of white (pink-white in the morning, bright white in the daytime, yellow white in the afternoon, and finally dim red-orange for the middle of the night) is great. Docked a star because the Hue app is a bit of a pain. We had a light stop responding, which required me to trouble shoot with Philips and when doing so, our house-wide settings were deleted! However, since then, the lights are working great, and I plan to buy more.

Having customization lights, controllable by the phone is amazing. Having them automatically turn on when you get home and off when you leave is a safe and convenient time saver.

yes they are pricy but they are entertaining as well as a conversation piece. Some TV shows are starting to sync to them so you can have light effects, very cool

Works great with my starter set. Note I found the starter set on sale for less than the price of three bulbs so bought 2 starter sets and one extra bulb.

This bulbs are great for holiday lighting and for everyday lighting. There are hundreds of applications and thousands of combinations. The sky is the limit.

These lights are great, but the B 30s have a slight buzz to them intermittently. This is likely because the dimmer switch they are on is not completely compatible, but its something to keep in mind when buying them.

I've been toying w/ the Phillips Hue system for a while - and have to say that I really like the fact that Phillips continues to expand the line, as well as the fact that they've embraced an "open" philosophy as far as allowing their system to work with so many other apps. For those that may not have heard of it - check out ifttt.com - you can significantly enhance Hue ! exciting!

It's a real good product. I love all the apps that you can use With it. It's really fun for a party all my guest enjoy a disco like place

I love these, the possibilities are pretty much endless as far as color combinations once you have a few of these and the right apps.

It is a great addition to an exisiting hue collection. You need a hue bridge to opperate. Great for expanding your current hue set up

Philips Hue is Great. I am working on my entire house. This is my 23rd Philips Hue bulb/ Friends of Philips Hue purchase.
