The Philip's Hue setup of the hub and bulbs work great. Easy to connect and the bulbs give off the brightness that us need for night time security purposes.

I have a lot of Hue lights in my home. They solve more problems than they create - which I tend to think about when it comes to IoT gadgets and home automation. I picked up these E12 bulbs to use with an outdoor light. I don't think they're rated for outdoor use, but the light is in a covered area and I live in an area where it doesn't rain much. It's nice to just have them come on at sunset and turn off after going to bed.

Recently, purchased a new lamp for the living room and wanted these bulbs to control the light from my phone. They work pretty well however, they aren't as bright as I expected them to be and they also flicker when turned up to the brightest setting. That could be the lamp itself causing this to. happen. Also, they are pretty expensive and I needed to buy 3 packs of this to fill the lamp. Overall, I'm not fully satisfied with them because I feel as if they could be brighter especially considering the price.
