The hue light bulbs are amazing. The colors they have look great! There are a lot of themes to choose from and you can download apps for special themes. Love it!

Fun but not necessary, really good light automation the new bulbs are slightly brighter than the older bulbs. Very good and love all of the apps and integration they have.

I absolutely love these lights! They are a bit pricey but having the ability to control the lights from my phone is amazing. My only complaints are not applicable to everyone I'm sure. I am a fan of bright spaces, so I only would buy 100 watt lights. These lights are 60 watt equivalent so it's a little dimmer than I would personally choose. Also, the blues and greens aren't as vibrant as the red, but I believe that may be due to the human eye being used to blue and green light. All in all I definitely love them despite my small complaints, as I have even bought additional lights to expand my set within a week of having the starter pack. Love these!

Got this as an upgrade from the old bridge for Apple HomeKit. Works great and the updated bulbs are definitely a more useable brightness for certain situations.

Having bulbs I can turn on and off from anywhere is awesome. Combining these bulbs with the Amazon echo is even better. I can't wait to keep adding more bulbs.

These light bulbs are a little pricey, but great for adding lots of character and fun to the house. Used these along with a downloadable app to make a great halloween themed house (complete with synchronized sounds and colors).

I was a bit concerned I was getting too fancy when I bought these going on 3 years ago now, but what a terrific difference these have made in our family. We love how we can change the color to fit what's happening in the house or to brighten up the house when it's foggy/cloudy outside. We have used the timer feature through IFTTT software (super easy) to set parameters around when the lights turn on and off. For example, we have set it to turn on when it senses our phones are getting close to home, but we finally decided to instead set the lights to turn on and off at the same time every day. That has ensured we always are greeted with the lights on when we get home after dark and it means the lights are still on as we head down the hall at night to bed (because we set it for a time that ensures we get to bed before the lights go out.) And we have set some light themes for different occasions -- like a rich purple or red when we are watching a movie or red/green for Christmas. We have even made lighting "recipes" that feature our sports teams' colors. So... lots of fun and practical uses. I think it's completely worthwhile and give the highest recommendation for these wonderful lights -- enjoy!

Just what i was wanting, was easy to set up to alexa. Pricey for bulbs but they last longer than standard bulbs so I'll save in long run.

Great lights. Timers can be set, can set diameter around house that either turns lights on or off, set alarms, and more. I highly recommend these lights.

Incredibly easy to install and use with the phone ap. Lots of preset options for your rooms. We plan to expand to other lights in the home as well.

I just recently purchased a home and I've long been interested in Philip's Hue. I bought the color starter and am happy with its quality. The Hue app could use some updating, but there are more than enough colors I can change my light bulbs to keep me busy for years to come. I have continued to add more smart bulbs, but for most rooms the white bulbs are more enough for my usage. The cost is high, but I feel the quality is good and turning my lights on and off using Alexa is useful!

Love the Philips Hue lights and the various apps you can use to control them. Only thing "missing" is better handling of power outages. As a safety precaution, the light switch overrides the hub/app control, which is good. However, this means that all lights will go on when the power comes back after power outages. This just means that you should turn off the lights with the hard switches when leaving home for some days, so it is NOT a dealbreaker, but it would have been ideal if the hub was able to detect a power outage and return the lights to their pre-outage status when power comes back.

If your into upgrading your lighting set up then this is a must buy - only thing is after the starter kit each bulb is $60 each but well worth it.

If you like controlling lights and making colorful scenes then get these. You won't need a dimmer for these lights it does it through the app.

I really like the functionality of the Philips Hue bulbs but here are two things that could be improved: 1) Higher power 2) Lower price. I would use more of them if Philips could make these two improvements.

I'm very happy with this purchase. It was easy to set up and I linked it to my echo. I really like being able to set the mood with the app.

The Hue lights have great features built into the Hue app like schedules and alarms as well of a geofencing feature which automatically turns on and off your lights when leave or come home. Set up was easy

The price tag scares a lot of people away from getting these but I have to say they add so much to your home they are worth it! Philips allows 3rd parties to use this technology in app development, so there's a lot you can do with these things, if you get the right apps! Plus, they're supposed to last a very long time. I haven't had any issues with these. If you're considering getting them just do it you won't regret it.

These are the coolest bulbs I have ever had!!! It's just unbelievable how many options of colors and applications are available to just make this one of the best purchases I have ever made. It's amazing to be going to bed and I just tap a button on my phone and all of my lights dim from where I previously had them set. Download 1 additional app and turn your room into a CLUB HOUSE pulsing to the best of your music! I do wish they came with 4 bulbs not just 3...

I had come across this product at a friend's house. I was intrigued by the possibilities so I bought the starter kit. So far so good. Set-up was not difficult but took me longer than I thought it would.
