This was a great addition to our Hue light family. It works great, and it's perfect for the places we want to home automate but don't need special colors or scenes. We put these in the kitchen, and have them auto timed to turn on gradually when we wake up to make our morning coffee. A household essential!

I have a full set of Hue Lux and multi-color Hue bulbs. The Hue Lux line produces a great shade of warm white/yellow light and works well in my kitchen, foyer, and bedroom. The reduction in price of these bulbs at Best Buy makes them a great buy compared to competitors like GE Wink and LIFX.

I love both, but if you can only have one then spend the extra money on Hue. Hue offers colors where Lux is just a plain white dimmer bulb with smart capabilities. The colors Hue offers is beyond your imagination.

Philips Hue can be expensive. They are by far the best color range for their lights. However, if you already have Hue, and need more lights without color... this is what you need. They are simply on or off... but can dim them how you choose.

Finally an E26 bulb which can light a whole room. The previous hue starter kit with the non-lux bulbs did some some cool things in that it could change colors. Unfortunately the bulbs weren't bright enough to use as a primary light source. The lux bulbs change that. Now you can't change colors but the lights are bright enough to actually be used as a light. Still have a dimming function. The whole system is by far the easiest home lighting system out. I've tried WeMo and other wifi solutions and none work as reliably and easily as the hue system.

Though still a bit pricey, the Philips Hue Lux is definitely a step in the right direction. The Lux bulbs work every bit as well as the original Hue bulbs—you're simply trading the ability to control color for a much lower price. Despite the fact that it can cost several hundred dollars (or more) to outfit your entire home, Philips bulbs offer the widest range of features.

I got this to complement some of my other Hue lights. While it's a simple LED bulb, it's nice to be able to control it via my phone. It's quite bright, and looks good.

I love the Hue lights! Very consistent, quick to turn on, responsive to changes in proximity, and best of all, compatible with Amazon Echo voice commands!

great easy to use system. The Hue is less expensive and more versatile than the wifi Lutron system. Wemo does not work with 3 way switches or dimmers. As long as you keep dimmer on full power Hue works.

This is easy to set up, works out of the box, threw power failures, internet loss, removed bulbs, multiple loads (ipad and Iphone) and this setup works PERFECTLY!!!!! DO NOT BUY that Wemo JUNK!!!

Love these bulbs! Connected them with a Hue multi color starter package. So easy a caveman can do it!

Great for rooms that do no really need the frills of the pricey Hue color changing bulbs. I just needed something that can talk to my Hue infrastructure that provides standard lighting.

This is a unique product with some very cool features, but is somewhat expensive. I wouldn't be outfitting my entire house with these lights but they're perfect for a room or two. I only wish this size bulb could do colors like some of the other Philips hue products. This bulb only emits a standard white light.

I have migrated from Insteon over to just having my lights on automation. Love the the scenes and wit the new white bulbs more affordable my entire apartment is now automated.

They even work through the winter! My wife feels safer arriving home; her lights jut turn on for her when she's home after dusk! So much easier than installing new fixtures

These are great if you want automation but not color. I have put these in six lamps and they function great. All were located by the hub immediately and respond as expected.

I love this product. I originally started out with just two. I now have them in every room of the house. These lights are very easy to use and set up the app works wonderful.

I'm not sure if they are making this one any more, but if you have an area that you are certain you won't ever want to add color to and you want to save $$$ this is it!

great to wake up to, love controlling it from the couch. synced it with my amazon echo and works flawlessly. going to buy more bulbs for the rest of the house.

This product works like a charm. Set up was super easy, and the related app works great as well. Just follow the provided instructions, and you can't go wrong. This system also works great with my Amazon echo device. I purchased the hue lux bridge starter kit along with nine additional hue lux bulbs, and I am very satisfied with my decision. This is a great introduction to home automation, and it's wayyyy better than that horrible wemo product I originally tried out (which I ended up returning) . I would definitely recommend this philips hue lux system.
