Good: -Clean shave -Easy to clean -Quiet Bad: -Trimmer is a separate head -Requires multiple pass -Razor burn More like a 3.5 really. This is a decent shaver. It can provide smooth clean shave but it requires multiple pass and left really bad razor burn. The trimmer now is a separate detachable head rather than the usual flip up, so it just added another step. It’s easy to clean and the charging and cleaning dock works as intended. Takes about an hour to fully charge. It takes about 10 minutes for the cleaning process, but I’m not sure how big of a different it makes versus just washing it regularly, especially when you have to buy refill cartridges every few months. Haven’t had it long enough to really test the battery life, but I’ve used it a few times and it still shows full bars. While this razor is quiet and powerful enough to shave longer hair, it’s just not a good match for me. I don't have thick facial hair so the triple blade head design tends to leave stray hair, requiring me to go over the same area multiple times till I got an even shave. It also doesn’t handle curve areas and around the lips very well for me. It does give you a closer shave in the end, but by the time I was done, I had really bad burns even when I was using shaving cream. I’ve gone through a few razors and this one gave me the worse burns. My previous razor was a straight head razor and that one was easier to shave with, albeit not providing as close a shave as this one. The turbo button doesn’t seem to make a difference. Having the easy detachable heads is nice, but I wish the trimmer was the usual flip up on the back. It’s annoying to have to change heads just to trim the sides after shaving. Overall it’s not a bad shaver. It can provide a good clean shave and my problems with it aren’t necessary the same for someone else.

The razor is very quiet and has two speeds to choose from. It actually sounds kind of weak and sick compared to my Braun, but it still did a good job of cutting. My first shave with this gave me the worst razor burn I have had in years. I used it with shaving gel to see how that works for me and finished up with a sore neck from the burn. A Braun Series 7 Electric has been my razor for years and didn't burn me like this did and I used the same pressure on the Phillips as I did the Braun. My second shave I shaved dry, after the razor burn was nearly gone was much much better. This one takes a very light touch on your face. Still, at least on my face, not as close as a blade but acceptable and there are a few places on my face ( that no electric has ever gotten) where I still need to use a blade to finish off. Previous electrics including my Braun had a built in popup trimmer, but this one you have to remove the shaving head and put on the trimmer attachment. I dont really like that setup, it just give you more parts to keep up with and possibly misplace or lose. The cleaning/charging base is straightforward and easy to use, but save yourself some frustration. The power supply plugs into the bases back on an upwards angle, not straight in. I was convinced that the power supply did not fit the base and Phillips sent me another in only two days :) . Then and only then with the base nearly turned upside down and with the aid of a flashlight did I discover that the one provided did fit, as well as the new, but on that upward angle. For travel use,the razor can be charged directly from the power supply without using the base , however you cannot use the razor when it's plugged in. It has to be unplugged and the battery at least partially charged in order to shave.

Wish it would get a closer shave on the first pass but it gets the job done

Wow! I've owned electric razors/shavers before and was skeptical of this one and whether it could really shave as close/good as my trusty straight edge razor or as good as some of the higher end disposable razors. Technology at least in this one has come a long ways and this one is going to replace all of my other razors. In terms of a close shave, this one definitely does it close, but not so close that it chaffs your skin or leaves you with a burn. It can be used wet, dry or with or without gel. Obviously what you use with it and how you will use it will vary based on your own preference but I like it because i can use it in the shower. Once done, rinse it off really quick then throw it in the charge/cleaning base after shower and it's ready to go again the next day. While it can still nick your skin if you're not paying attention to how you're using it, I can say it is a whole bunch less likely to cut or nick you than a regular razor which is great. I like that the shave head can be changed out with a trimmer too which I used to have a whole separate item for - another plus! I only wish it had a nose trimmer attachment too but the one it has does fine for what i need. The cleaning/charging base is great and works well to keep the blade sanitary and working at it's best which of course will lengthen how long the blades will last. Charging is quick and cleaning is quick too (taking maybe about 15-20 mins for the whole clean cycle). I'd highly recommend this razor based on my use of it. It'd be a great gift or purchase for someone who doesn't have one or needs an upgrade! Pros: Easy to use Good/close shave Trimmer attachment Waterproof Sanitary Versatile use Excellent battery life Cons: No nose trimmer (not a deal breaker by if you can use attachments why not have this too?)

Great Product.........Just what I was looking for.

As a very long time user of Norelco products, I don't feel that this one lives up to past models I've owned. It does the job, but doesn't seem to cut as close as the razor I'm replacing. It's good but not great. I recommend with reservations.

This is a great shaver especially since I have sensitive skin.
