    Good Shaver, Great Cleaner

As a previous electric razor user, I had gotten used to the type of shave that most of these items produce. Some provide a very good shave but most are no where near the quality of a bladed shave. The downside to bladed shaves is the cost for consumables (blades). Based on this I wanted to give this product a try and see if the technology had, in fact, increased enough to rival a bladed shave. The packaging and contents were well put together and everything was there. I unboxed the product and was able to put things together pretty quickly without reviewing the owner's manual. Once set-up, I did a once over with the manual to make sure I had everything right. It takes a while for you skin to get used to an electric razor so I knew this was going to take a little while to see true results from the product. After using it a week I can say that this is overall a very good shaver. It did a pretty good job on the easy areas and fairly well on harder areas (neck, chin, etc.) The shaver has a "turbo" mode which I left it in most of the time as it did a better overall shave in this mode. This model comes with a cleaner/charger stand that operated great and cleaned the shaver well. In fact, this was the highlight of the system for me. Being able to keep the shaver charged (it won't work if it's plugged in, but has a quick charge mode) and clean at the same time is phenomenal! I cleaned it after every shave and it does make a difference. The cleaning solution should be replaced every couple of months (haven't gotten to that point yet) but the replacements seem readily available. Overall this is a good system and shaver that, if you are trying a new thing or tired of paying a fortune for replacement blades, this could be your answer. Just remember that it will take a week or so for your skin/beard to get used to the electric shaver and get a complete shave. Good Shopping!

This shaver is awesome, it's quiet and very smooth. I have been using it for the past couple of days and every time i use it feels like it's a brand new product. It comes with a cleaning cartridge which smells like an after shaver liquid you purchase at CVS, i love it. I'm not sure how much are the cleaning cartridges but the first cartridge is enough to last you a couple of months depending on how often you use it. You can use it in the shower or while on the go due to the wet/dry feature. I don't like that the maximum running time is 1 hour, although i'm pretty sure i'm not going to use it for that long but i would think the battery could at least last 3 hours. Also Phillips gives us a 2 year warranty on parts and labor which is better then the industry norm. The maximum power this shaver has is 9 watts, it also has a turbo option to speed up the shaving time. This shaver also includes a "smartclick" precision trimmer, it's pretty simple to change between the trimmer and shaving heads. One thing i should tell you is, once you have installed the cleaning cartridge inside the smartclean system/charging station you should not move it a lot due to the cleaning cartridge, its easy to spill it while moving it, so leave it stationary if you can. If you need to take this shaver with you, take the shaver with the case(included) then manually remove the left over hairs by pushing the release button which is located in the bottom of the shaving heads, once you get home you can use the cleaning cartridge, just a suggestion. I looked up the prices for the cleaning cartridges and you can get a 3 pack for roughly $13.00 which is a great deal. You can also purchase a replacement shaving head for roughly $35.00, so it's not too bad considering how often you change the shaving heads since this shaver does not come with a replacement. I really like this shaver. The cleaning cartridges smell great and make the shaving heads feel brand new with every shave. The cleaning system save me the time of having to clean it, it looks nice and most importantly is very quiet. I will definitely be using this shaver and trimmer for my everyday needs. It's very modern looking, it's fast, and it cleans itself! How can i not like it? I would recommend to anyone.

    Surprisingly Quiet and Close Shave

I have been a traditional in-line electric shaver guy since high school. I always knew the rotary electric razors existed, but I questioned how they could work as effectively as an in-line razor. I no longer question! The Phillips 5750 provided a remarkably close and smooth shave. It really outperformed my current electric razor in the lower parts of my neck, around my adams apple, and the lower part of my chin. These are all areas that I just assumed a rotary razor would have difficulty. Each of the rotating razor heads flexes effortlessly and moves along every curve of your face/neck. I can only guess that the circular design helps gets some of those more troublesome hairs that I always struggle to get on the first or second pass with my current razor. Additionally, the 5750 comes with a nice charging and cleaning base that keeps your electric razor blades as fresh and functional as possible automatically. The unit itself is very nicely constructed and has LCD displays to show charge level and other functional details. It just looks like a quality piece of grooming equipment that you'd be proud to have on your bathroom counter. In conclusion, I'm very please with the Phillips 5750 Electric Razor. I think this experience might have converted me from the traditional in-line style electric razors. I would highly recommend this product for those men looking for a clean, fast, and comfortable shaving experience.

    Ignore the negative reviews

Here are my notes when I first started using shaver. First shave: wet, with Edge gel. Nice, smooth shave. First time wet shaving with an electric razor so I really didn’t know what to expect. Second shave: dry. Again, nice shave. No irritation, reasonably close. I decided to dry shave a few times in a row. The next shave was again good. Turbo mode produces a better shave but non turbo mode may be okay depending on your beard and skin. Third shave: dry. I’m beginning to like this razor more. I did notice the turbo mode is better. I will try a couple of shaves on non turbo mode for a better comparison. At this point, I tried the cleaning twice. Not enough info for a decision. Fourth shave: wet. Razor glides over skin with Edge gel. Really close shave for an electric. No irritation. This shave was on a two day old growth. I’ve been using this shaver for over a month now. This is a GREAT ELECTRIC RAZOR! All shaves have been very good. I will say the wet shave is a little better than the dry. The only negative is no trim attachment built into the shaver. It’s really not hard to switch out the shaving heads with the trim attachment but it would be nice not to have to do it. Also, I cannot recommend the cleaner one way or another, just not enough use yet. I got it because of the claim to extend the life of the blades. Time will tell. I do not use the cleaner after every shave. . In summary, IGNORE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!! This is an excellent razor. I highly recommend it.

The best shaving system I’ve ever purchased. I’m still using it as of August 2022. Built well and flawless operation. Nice close shave. The best I’ve ever owned and I’ve had many.
