Disclaimer: I was in NO way shape or form paid to write this, this is solely my own personal opinion on the product.
Prior to this toothbrush, I owned a Burst Sonic Toothbrush. Excellent toothbrush for the price if I might add. Prior to that, I owned mostly Oral-B and your generic toothbrushes you'll find at your local dollar store. I decided that if I was going to go big on a toothbrush it would no doubt be a question of Oral-B or Philips. So why did I go, Philips, if I've only ever owned Oral-B out of the two? Well simply put, I cannot stand Oral-B's brush heads. Others may disagree, but that's just where I stand on that. Not only that, but complemented with the fact that I had read all great reviews on Philips' A3 brush head (the brush head that comes with the handle), I knew which of the two I was going with. We'll start off with the cons first.
First and foremost this guy is loud. The faucet turned on maximum pressure is just barely louder than the brush. I decibel tested it, and it's approximately 5 decibels louder than the burst toothbrush I came from. 5 decibels doesn't sound like a lot, and really isn't; however, when you are used to the burst toothbrush it's very noticeable. The brush measured 65.6 on the app, slightly quieter than a normal talking level.
Next, it goes through its battery VERY quickly. This is no big deal because I religiously ensure it's back on the charger (so I know where it is because it is after all $350) so again it doesn't affect me so much, but I see it drain through roughly 3-4% per use. (Keep in mind I only ever use the highest intensity setting, but that still is a lotta juice).
The last two complaints are that it only comes with 1 brush head. Would've been nice for two, if not for myself, at least for someone else to try. And then lastly is actually a complaint with the app. It doesn't do the best tracking when I'm brushing behind my teeth and sometimes neglects that I brushed my top right side at all (unless I'm just being super closeminded, or I'm actually not hitting it- which I of course don't believe lol).
Another one I thought of that doesn't affect me, the over-pressure and scrubbing light is almost impossible to see without a mirror. I use the app, but if you did not have your phone around (maybe you're in the shower, I do not know but I highly recommend taking advantage of the app) it may be hard if not impossible to notice the light.
Now let's talk about the greatness of this product...
It genuinely feels like I walked out of the dental office, EVERY single time I use this brush effectively (which is super easy using the app). I read the reviews and thought it was BS, no my friend, it's true. And that's coming from someone who actively brushes 4-6 times a day (4 on average).
Not only does my mouth feel clean, but it looks clean. This has been far more effective than any mouthwash, whitening strip, toothpaste combo. I speculated for the longest time the culprit of my disappointment was the brush, and I was right. There were (<keyword) spots in between my teeth that my floss, mouthwash, and burst couldn't clean. They weren't obvious at all unless nitpicking, (almost didn't exist) but first use and they were gone.
Next is the brush head feels great. A little bulky, but for the next level of cleanliness you get, it's no big deal. Maybe it's not bulky at all but coming from the burst it does feel a little bit bulky. Even though it is larger, it still cleans far more effectively than the burst did. I'm not discrediting burst, fantastic toothbrush and it held up well for its price, but that's just the nature of things when you compare a toothbrush like that to this absolute behemoth.
The app is great. Few complaints with the tracking, but overall more than effective. It keeps track of your brush head life, and even takes into account the speed and pressure of your brushing into life, and lets you know when you're due for a new head. A nice thing is that brush heads are $30 and are estimated at 180 uses.
My last great thing to say about this brush is that it's simple. Some toothbrushes have a screen and active modes and a whole bunch of other stuff that clutters it up. This one has a power button and a small button below the power button that is sort of in the handle (in the sense that there's no visible button) to adjust the intensity (which I've only used high and have had no sores EVEN with my irrational 4-6 brushes a day). The modes and everything else can be changed in the app.
Absolutely worth the money- and just may make you feel obligated to keep up on your dental health with how expensive it is. I recommend this over any toothbrush you are considering right now- even if you are just starting to take better care of your dental health. Is this expensive? Yes. Is this for everybody? No. But if you are extremely self-conscious about your teeth, and you tried what feels like everything to make them whiter; well this just might be your answer. It was for me anyway. The key to a whiter and healthier mouth isn't a crazy combination of products (ok maybe it is a little), it all starts with how effectively you brush (and a precursor to that of course could be flossing).

I’ve never driven a Bentley, but I can’t say I haven’t brushed my teeth with the Bentley of toothbrushes. From the case to the design, to the app – what a showstopper!
As a long time user of electric toothbrushes, something is different about this one. It might be the 6 brushing zones or just the difference in the vibration, but the 9900 Prestige is something special. The pressure sensitive button and silky finish are a nice touch. The charger is different and has a classy look.
The connected app is a cool feature. Its most useful functions are reminders for head replacement and tracking brushing efficiency. The app monitors pressure, coverage and motion. The brush and app will tell you when you are moving the brush too fast or when you’re pressing too hard. Very cool!
Last but not least, what a slick looking setup. The whole package looks amazing. The flat deep color of the brush, the cool leather (or leather looking) charging case – it all adds up to one great electric toothbrush.

The Philips Sonicare 9900 Prestige has impressive cleaning performance paired with a real time feedback app to improve dental health far beyond what can be achieved with a manual brush.
In the box is the toothbrush, head, charging stand, USB charging cable, power adaptor, and charging travel case. While not required for operation, in order to fully leverage the benefits of this toothbrush you will need to download the app. I had no issues downloading and running on my Android phone. While you can brush without the app open, if you want real time feedback and history tracking you will need to open it when you brush. To pair to the app you need to put the brush on the base, open the app, and then turn on the toothbrush, at which point the app will begin tracking the two minute program and your brushing habits. Within the app you can select multiple brushing options: three different intensity settings, and five different cleaning modes that range between 2:00 minutes to 3:20 minutes based on if your goal is sensitive, deep cleaning, gum health, whiten, or clean (default setting).
The SenseIq technology takes a bit of getting used to between the brush movement and the app response, but easy to navigate once you get used to the slight lag between where you are brushing and what the app shows. The app breaks the mouth into 6 sections and then each section gets a 20 second interval. Based on the toothbrush movement the app can identify which section of your mouth you have covered and then provides feedback if you brush too hard, move too fast, and adapts the intensity of the vibration based on the pressure you apply. The app will also let you know if you have missed an area and you can go back to that area to turn the section 'green', see photo for example of this feedback.
The app also contains dental health tips, tracks brush head life and provides notification when to reorder. It leaves my teeth feeling extremely clean, as if I just came from the dentist's office. If you battle with plaque build up, sensitive gums, or just tired of hearing your dentist tell you to brush better, this Sonicare will help you adjust your habits and get better cleaning results without spending the extra time on inefficient brushing.

This toothbrush is amazing. The power is incredible I feel it rattle the skull sometimes at certain angles and parts of my mouth. My teeth feel super clean. The only con I have is I keep having to change the intensity level from low to high I don’t know why ever so often it reverts back to low from high. I fixed this in the app and regardless it still reverts to it. Small annoyance but overall great product. If it wasn’t fort that it would have 5 stars. Travel case is also very convenient. I wish it was a built in rechargeable battery especially for the price.

This product has worked great. Excellent travel case. Great for those that need feedback during their brushing to keep them on track. It also let's you know if your not brushing enough. My only complaint is that the app on the android phone does not always recognize when you start a brushing schedule. I have eventually figured out that if you sequentially start the app first and then grab the brush off the standing washer it works 95% of the time.

Definitely an amazing clean. My old oral-b electric toothbrush died after many years. It was purchased from a dentist office and lasted 3 years. I was skeptical about the Philips Sonicare, but took a chance. The technology is different from the oral-b and I had to adjust to the technique. The clean is excellent and the guidance simple to follow. I will say I'm not a fan of using my phone to see details, but you can sync after you brush by connecting to the phone. The size is ideal for small hands and it is attractive for those of us who care. The carrying case is nice for travel and not overly huge. I do find it to be pricey, but if it lasts a couple of years like my prior oral-b then it is worth it.

Quite satisfied with the Prestige after two days of use. I was looking for a toothbrush that took up less counter space than my Diamond Clean, but was equivalent or better quality. It was quite easy to register the toothbrush from within the app. Changing settings from within the app is very easy. The beep telling you to move to the next quadrant could be louder and more noticeable. The brush head is fantastic. I keep the toothbrush on the charger. Works great. Have not used the case to charge the toothbrush yet. Very satisfied so far.

I love love love this product. It is a sleek version of older dated models and it is very much appreciated as it does what is promised. The negative? I detest to the moon and back having to connect online to temper its settings. I do not enjoy being held hostage to a third party operating this otherwise appreciated model.

Great cleaning with an awesome intuitive app makes for a duo that I’m happy to back. Definitely keeps me more on top of my habits and makes sure that I am getting a good cleaning all around.

I've had a Philips Sonicare Diamondclean toothbrush for 5 years. Recently, the battery on that one started going out so I knew I needed a new toothbrush. I decided to purchase this one because the carrying case seemed much more convenient for travel. I was pleasantly surprised to find this brushed even better than my last toothbrush! It's hard to say if that's because the battery on my old toothbrush had weakened over time, but I've been pleased. I've removed a star because I do think it's pretty expensive for an electric toothbrush, particularly knowing that the battery life is likely equivalent to my last toothbrush (5 years) and repurchasing brushheads isn't cheap. I'm attempting to extend the life by not keeping it plugged in all of the time and only charging it when it is out of battery, though time will tell if this is effective at extending the battery life. That said, it really does clean exceptionally well, and the small footprint for storage is meaningful to me as I travel a lot.

After using my Phillips DiamondClean Smart for almost 5 years, I decided to replace it with the new model - the Sonicare 9900 Prestige.
It didn’t disappoint me. I love it!
Pros:
- Very well made.
- More compact design than the previous generation.
- Travel case with the charging capabilities.
- Improved brushing specs
Cons:
- Expensive
Overall, I highly recommend if you are willing to spend extra money on a high quality product which might last you for a while.

Awesome toothbrush! Recommended by my dentist. It took some time to get used to but my teeth feel and look better than a regular tooth brush. I highly recommend! I ordered from Best Buy Mira Mesa. That's where i find all of my electronics. Thank You! Also, it's compact and convenient for travel. The battery lasts for a couple of weeks. Everyone should have this product. It has bluetooth and will tell you if you are brushing properly. You will have to download the app and set up your profile. Then you phone needs to be near you with the app open to talk to the wireless toothbrush.

Good, stylish, brush excelent. The only problem - it doesn't have any AI. Generally, Philips introduced unified head, stylish design and charging, 3 intensivity levels, sensor that alerts of scrubbing or high pressure and... that's it. App gives more tuning possibilities, but in fact, you do not it for daily use. And it doesn't actually perform any correct zoning and mapping how good you clean teeth. I was surprised by 6 buzz instead of usual 4. And then App showed that your mouth is 6 zones and you need to choose starting zone. So it register moves only when this zone is active. You can clean the whole month and it doesn't matter as in these specific moments only this area mattered. Also, travel kit doesn't allow to put the head with cover. Not hygienic in mi mind.
By only at discounts of 250 and lower.

I bought this because my previous Sonicare Diamondclean of 10-11 years stopped working. This one is pretty expensive but worth it. I had this for about two weeks before I had another dentist appointment. The dental hygenist commented that my teeth were very clean and didn't say anything about flossing or gum recession (hint I didn't floss everyday, if my dentist is reading this I'm sorry lol). She probably spent about 15 minutes tops doing my routine cleaning. I owe this in part due to this toothbrush. With the accompanying app (if you don't want to use an app, just don't buy this, you won't get your money's worth), it guides you on how to brush your teeth, like if you scrub too much or if you have too much pressure. You can also set up zones where if you have sensitive gums or possible cavity prone areas it can focus more on those areas. At the end of the routine, it kind of grades you and tells you how to improve your brushing. I think if this toothbrush lasts a long time it will be well worth the high price and your teeth/gum health will be good too.

This is an excellent toothbrush. I purchased the 9700 a few years ago but it stop pairing to my phone. I saw this one on sale during the holiday season and did not hesitate to purchase. I look forward to using it.

If you have problems with periodontal pockets or are just looking for a whiter smile this is the toothbrush for you. The app makes you pay attention to the areas your not brushing, but you feel the difference after 1 brushing. I feel like i just went to the dentist and got my teeth polished. 10/10 would recommend.

This is simply a first impressions review. The brush head will take some getting used to. It’s a little larger than the brush head on my old Sonicare. I also have a pretty small mouth. It’s definitely easier to get around my braces with the smaller brush head, but I will try to get this to work! The app is easy to use. It was easy to connect and it’s pretty neat with the feedback and tips it gives you when you’re done brushing. My teeth do feel cleaner compared to my old one. They feel smoother. I do wish you could make a profile where you maybe told the app/toothbrush you had braces or something similar. At least just so it knew. I didn’t find anything like this while playing around in the app. Overall it’s very nice. You are able to disable a lot of the features, although at this price point and just the point of the toothbrush in general, it wouldn’t really make sense to do that. If you aren’t into all the different features, then maybe go for a more simpler one. Otherwise it would be just a waste of money for you.

I've been using cheap electric toothbrushes for my whole life and decided to try the Sonicare 9900 Prestige. The quality of the device is incomparable to my old toothbrush. Everything from the materials used to the action of the mechanical components feels premium. I feel like I use significantly less effort when brushing now and achieve better results than I did with my old toothbrushes. The app integration wasn't a selling point for me, and I haven't set it up yet. I would definitely recommend trying it out, especially if you can catch a good sale like I did.
