This review is really for the pickup and store itself. The game is fine and is a fun strategy Xcom like game. Cashier drops case for game breaking case nothing done and doesn’t even apologize. No discount or anything was even attempted by store also general disgusting store will only use online delivery

This is a very good, but very complex game. It doesn't have the personality that x com does. One thing that the makers of this game did that was awesome is give you a free ps 5 upgrade.

Good but more X-COM than XCOM

Good game but closer to the X-COM franchise Julian Gollop created than it is to the XCOM franchise. Not a negative, just something to be aware of and adjust your expectations accordingly. The free aim mode for targeting specific body parts is an interesting addition and allows to counter specific enemy abilities if an enemy cannot be killed immediately. Character rank ups, on the other hand, are far from spectacular and do not vastly improve the abilities of your soldiers, definitely more X-COM than XCOM. The setting is a little more complex morally than the eventual power fantasy of shooting evil alien invaders in the face XCOM presents. Maybe the game caught me on an extra soft day but I genuinely felt bad killing my opponents. Your mileage may vary but something to keep in mind. Overall, worth it for a fan of turn based tactical games.
