I bought this receiver as an upgrade to my previous pioneer receiver that still works perfectly. This receiver has more feature and more HDMI ports. The sound is great and priced lower.

upgraded my receiver to get 3D passthrough for my home theater. powers my 5.2.2 speakers really well. Has ATMOS and works for my system. happy with the receiver, but not quite the same level as the other elite receivers

I have owned 3 pioneer receivers so far and I have never had one complaint, that great reputation continues with this receiver. Pioneer makes great home audio equipment by far.

This is working great. set up was a bit tricky but we called and spoke to their customer service and they walked us through the parts we could not get. Sound is great

Very nice addition to the mundane sound I had before. Really brings out the movies special effects and music videos sounds the way they were intended to be heard.

I had the older model pioneer elite vsx-30 and really liked it. I just wanted an upgrade with more hdmi inputs. So far the vsx-90 has been working wonderfully

Easy set up and I love having all the HDMI hook ups going through the receiver.

Sound quality is amazing. Great product but leave it to the professionals to set up all the devices connected. Also recommend getting a universal remote.

My old Pioneer receiver died after 17 years. Looking for a replacement and this one hit the price point and came loaded with features. What an upgrade.

This receiver had Dolby Atmos. This feature alone is worth the Elite branding. I was looking for this useful feature and the vsx90 had it.

this is going to be a breif and condensed review. im a long time pioneer av fan. i wasnt very happy with this one though. the good: sound was excellent out of box. never made it far enough to use the mcacc calibration mic but sound was full and warm which i tend to like. now the bad: 1st off, setting the networking up on this thing is a pain. very slow and clunky feeling UI makes it worse. multiple attempts would not find the wireless ssid, even though all other home devices are connected fine. once it did finally connect and was able to get everything working, the next day it had lost connection again somehow. bluetooth was about the same, multiple failed attempts, very bad delay also. turned on audio/video standby signal pass through but was unable to get audio to pass. also the display bugged me for some reason, couldn't really put a finger on it but it feels like a step back from 1 of my older pioneer receivers. i might have gotten a lemon but i dont feel the want to try another 1. oh, and when you change settings, it wont let access the setup menu for anywhere between 30-90 seconds. it states in manual its supposed to do that!

You can' t go wrong with Pioneer. I thought it was time for an upgrade my old amp is almost 10 years old. This is perfect for my man cave.

Great receiver, you need to be patient when setting up the system. Once the speakers are calibrated you will enjoy the magnificent sound.

This was on the daily deal. Was a great bang for the buck. Still working on setting up my theater room. will right more as I set it up.

I wouldn't say I'm an audiophile but I have this receiver running 4 klipsh reference bookshelfs 1 center and 1 sub. It's flawless

This is a great receiver I like the app on my phone so I can control it anywhere in my house for any room I have it set up on.

Works well with my 4k TV. Supports 4k/60p/4:4:4 with HDCP 2.2. Lots of HDMI and ATMOS too. Overall very happy with purchase.

We upgraded our system to replace the older one that stopped working after three years. This one has all the bells and whistles and we are loving it! You can name your own inputs, so instead of having HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 ect., you can give them their own names. So instead of sat/cable we named ours TIVO and so on and so forth. Also has an automatic calibration system. You set your speakers up, set up this little sensor and it calibrates your whole system for you for optimal sound. Very nice!

I found this receiver a great upgrade for my 10 year old Denon, as the hdmi audiofor tv hook up failed . the set up and operation with my tv was easy
