This is a very good home reciever. Super simple to operate and have never had any problems with it. I will definitely keep buying pioneer elite recievers !!

Does everything one would expect from an amplifier at this price point. Count on spending some serious time setting up and tweaking the settings. The automatic setup is ok but I found that adjustments were needed to make surround sound right for different media (e.g., movies vs music). That's where the fun begins as one navigates a thicket of very complicated and not particularly intuitive menu choices. The result is very good, but it takes a lot of time if you are not a audiophile techie.

I replaced my old Denon receiver with this Pioneer Receiver, what a great difference, our flatscreen LG is so much sharper & clearer. There are different movie modes thru a range of vivid modes you can select from for your best viewing choices of HD & 3D. This is really super easy to setup, as user friendly, I'd highly recommend!

Purchased this to replace a 12 year old Yamaha. Very happy with the Pioneer VSX-90. It has lots of features but was easy to setup. We are still learning all the features but have been satisfied with everything we have used so far. The Yamaha was a beast, very heavy and had great sound, only replaced it because it became outdated as a Home Entertainment device. The Pioneer is feature rich and is a terrific value.

The Pioneer VSX-90 was the receiver I had been waiting for. The ease of set up was great. I had a 12 year old Pioneer that was very good but when I installed the VSX-90 with my Bose speaker system there was a noticable change in the sound. The sound is so clean and the noise level so low I could not believe the difference. I would recommend this unit to anyone intersted in a great home theater experience.

I bought this stereo to replace my 25 year old stereo. This Pioneer has more functions and options than I needed but it is ready to serve if ever get around to buying a TV from this decade. But as for the sound and quality, it's perfect. I mostly play CD's and stored music (bluetooth w/ iPhone) music and the sound it produces with the Pinoeer speakers is great. I like the auto off feathers and wifi capabilities as well. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Bought this to replace an older Pioneer Elite receiver. Everything goes thru the new one and only one cord goes to the TV. Works great!

this is my first experience with a pioneer receiver and I can say color me impressed once you get past the learning curve this receiver is well implemented never gets past warm even when push to high sound levels with moderately efficient speakers also when set-up properly it functions very smoothly well done pioneer get one before their all gone

Sounds great and I was able to do the set up myself. It is expandable beyond my current needs.

We love the picture on this TV..It is amazing. The thing is --It is a SMART TV.. Sometimes smarter than us. But we love it anyway!

This unit has many features. Great piece of equipment for the price. It has very few drawbacks that are not a big deal to 99% of the people who purchase it... I'm just picky. For instance, certain features cannot be used easily unless the TV is on. (ie Pandora and some deep settings). Other than that, couldn't be happier.

A great amp that has great features and performs well. The instructions and app seem to be written for an audiophile rather than the common consumer.

Fantastic receiver would highly recommend. Easy to setup and fantastic surround sound. Very happy love Pioneer.

As far as the difference between this unit and the $1,000 Pioneer Elite, the price difference didn't justify the cost. I'd love the $2,500 unit - but not in my price range. I am completely happy with this unit. This is the second Pioneer Elite I've owned and only upgraded because I wanted wireless connectivity. It does almost everything I want it to do (except have 2 optical and 2 coaxial inputs and be turntable ready - but for that I need the $2,500 model).

When shopping for an upgrade to my older receiver I wanted to be future proofed for the upcoming hdcp 2.2 blu ray format. This is ready for it. What I love most is the connectivity abilities. Blu-tooth works great but drops if I leave to another room. Internet is more responsive when connected by lan line. Can control it with app from anywhere in the house as long as your on the same network/router as the reciever. The ipod usb connection won't recognize my android device, but I preffer the blu-tooth wireless to connect with anyhow. The surround sound works very well with multiple ways to set it up to many tastes. You have to use a powered sub with this system, but the lfe capability really brings sound to life. It can reproduce movie like sound as well as a theater. Music is played well and clear just not very loudly, even though it gets quite loud it isn't able to recreate concert type loudness. Have it hooked up to a polk audio speaker system and am enjoying it everyday. It is mostly plug and play with a few system setting adjustments to make. Picture through my cable/ps3/blu ray player and computer are all very clear and jitter free. I bought this here at best buy on sale at $420 and it has been worth every penny.

I replaced an older unit and this receiver is simple to use and sounds incredible. A great buy at a great price!
