quality may not be the same, but wifi, easy setup, elimination of excess wires, makes the purchase a good one

This AV Receiver has worked well. I have Klipsch small speakers hooked up to it and the sound level and quality is very good!

This is a great receiver with awesome audio options and amazing audio performance. I am using all pioneer speakers with this unit, and am truly impressed with the performance improvement over a cheap Denon receiver I had previously. This receiver has all the ports you will need, with the very important 4K, HDR support, making this receiver hopefully future proof (for at least 4-5 years? Here's hoping! Haha). I am slightly disappointed with the video options though. I have multiple game systems and a cable box hooked up through this receiver going to a 62inch 1080p Samsung DLP TV. I was noticing that the colors were slightly washed out, compared to my previous receiver. Switching my devices to PC RGB color space improved the video quality greatly! Unfortunately my cable box does not support this option which is unfortunate because there is no option through the receiver. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase. The set up was easy, the remote is easy to understand, and the on screen menus are helpful. If you are looking for a great audio experience, look no further!

I bought this, to replace my VSX-40, because that receiver didn't support the new 4K TV that I bought. Setup of this receiver was pretty easy, thanks to the Start-up Navi app, and there's another app that you can download to control the receiver itself, although I myself have a Harmony Universal Remote which I use to control things. It's only been a couple of months, but so far so good.

Simple to a degree, but does the job. Geek Squad had many issues installing this with my all new system.

I needed a new received to replace one that was more than 10 years old -- one that would be compatible with my existing system. I was discussing various options with a Best Buy / Magnolia representative and we settled on the Pioneer. It seemed to be the best combination of quality, capability, and price. While it's only been a month or so, it has met all my expectations.

I am very pleased with this receiver. I needed something more powerful to drive my new speakers, and this fits the bill. I also can't complain that I got it for 50% off. If you are still able to find it, I highly recommend this receiver.

I would recommend this AV receiver any day. I did have a little trouble getting Spotify setup.

I have the new Samsung 4k Blu-Ray player and have not had any issues getting full 4k, HDR, and HD Audio to work through this receiver. Got tired on Onkyo failures; hopefully this holds up. You can't beat the value and feature-set on this receiver at its sale price.

The VSX-90 is probably one of the best 7.2 channel receivers available at its usual sale's price point (between $400-600). With all of the standard built-in connectivity features (AirPlay, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi) along with being HDCP 2.2 compliant as well as Dolby Atmos capable the VSX-90 fills in all of the requirements of any everyday home theater receiver. The sound quality produced by the VSX-90 is also on par with any of its direct competitors in this price range (such as Yamaha, Onkyo, Denon) and even goes beyond some of these with its ability to crank up the output without diminishing the audio quality. Overall the VSX-90 should be seen as a very, very good choice in home theater receivers and you will not be disappointed.
