Just had best buy install this a couple weeks ago. I was worried about the touch screen part but I really like it now plus it has the buttons on the left that are not just touch screen. Overall I really like it and I also had a back up camera installed at the same time. The video display for that is really good! You can also with one touch of a button black out your display lets say at night time. That is a nice feature as well. The display is very easy to read and you can adjust different color themes and the size of the font. Over all I am really happy with this for the price I paid. Good quality!

I have been throwing the idea around for the last few years of upgrading my stock head unit in a second vehicle I own. I don't drive t often, so this purchase was by no means a priority, or one I wanted to invest deeply in. I purchased an older Pioneer in-dash receiver about four years ago, so I am familiar with the brand and features. Although there are a couple of changes to current Pioneer in-dash receivers, they still have the same familiar feel. I rated this item as good because it could use some minor improvements. You are not purchasing a PC, or MAC, so you should not expect that from this product. Drawbacks include: minor touch screen delay, basic software appearance and technology that is slowly out-dating. The App Mode feature is lack luster and is not something that I foresee myself utilizing often. If you're using an iPhone 6 Plus, or newer, you'll likely just use your phone's maps, rather than the Pioneer's App Mode. If you are like me and replacing an older and out of date head unit, included features like Bluetooth and USB/iPod integration may peak your interest. I purchased an external hard drive, with intentions of storing digital media for playback on this device, but am having trouble finding compatible and supported file types. This is something that you can work around. If you intend on watching stored video files from a portable device, please keep in mind that not all file types are supported. The audio quality of the product is great. This head unit will power aftermarket speakers and has plenty of adjust ability, for the audiophile in you. For minimal cost, you can add a backup camera. This head unit would be nice, if available as a Blu-Ray player. Currently, in-dash Blu-Ray players will run at least five times as much. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and would continue to by Pioneer head units in the future. Thank you for continuing to innovate.

After researching plenty of head units, the old adage remains true: You get what you pay for. This is my second Pioneer DVD unit within this mid-range price point and unfortunately I should have trusted my gut and spent the extra money on maybe a BHS model. I installed this in a 2012 Subaru Legacy 3.6R and use an iPhone 6. The pros: The rear USB makes it easy to retain the factory USB in the console (after purchasing a Metra AX-SUBUSB). Bluetooth is always a nice feature, though the provided speaker is a major drop from the factory. The firmware update was relatively easy after installing from the Pioneer website (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/Downloads). The cons: While Spotify is now a separate add-on which provides access to your saved playlists, it still requires you to allow access on your phone. So instead of simply selecting the Spotify mode and listening to music, you have to unlock your phone, open the Spotify app and select something first. The screen is severely lacking in sensitivity. You need to make a substantial press to get the screen to recognize. Response time is a beat off. This is annoying when changing songs on Spotify or from your phone or even when watching a DVD. Regardless of what was last playing on your phone when you start the car up again and select your phone, the first song on your phone starts playing. Then when you switch to a Podcast, Spotify, etc... the album artwork doesn't always change.

Love my new stereo does everything I wanted it to do and more I had Best Buy Install it too and Jeff at the Modesto, Ca store was great he had it installed in no time and explained how everything worked couldn't ask for better service! Way to go Jeff!

I purchased a Pioneer AVH-X4800BS and have been very pleased with it. It was very easy to install and has many capabilities. It was a great price already, and with the Best Buy Price Match Gaurantee it ended up being an even better price..well worth it.

Got my gf this as a present. Pretty easy to operate except the Bluetooth screen won't allow us to open it. We're still able to connect but if you play around with this in store you'll see the screen I'm talking about. The screen, from what the booklet says, is supposed to allow you to delete devices that were connected to it. Luckily her phone is one of them. Idk if it's just us or if it's a bug. Just test this out in store first. Other than that it's a good buy.

So many options for add on to your unit and so easy to use. My Wife and I both have our Bluetooth phones connected to it and it was so easy to connect them. Love the unit and best buy had it on sale. Thats a Win /Win

After my display went out on my 07 Fusion (common Ford issue) I looked for a replacement screen. After finding out it would cost $150 to repair it I decided it was time to upgrade. I have subs run through a line out converter and remote switch since I had my car. I decided to keep the same hookup and just swap head unit for head unit so I could get bluetooth, and satellite radio built in to the screen ( I had an XM Onyx box). The only issue I had was my factory amp kept making a popping noise when the new radio turned on. For Ford vehicles with an amp, you MUST buy a 12v-5v step down converter and wire it up to the amp wires on the harnesses. Ford amps only require 5v to turn on and the new radios put out 12v. It doesn't hurt anything just makes an audible pop. In order to have full access to bluetooth settings, you MUST also take the long green parking wire and just wrap the bare wire around any bare metal behind your radio to "ground" it. Otherwise you won't be able to have access to any of the bluetooth settings. I bought the SiruisXM tuner to go behind the new radio so I have XM built in now and it works well. The only thing that I do not like is the regular FM radio adapter I had to buy for the antenna does not work well and the signal is awful. But I never use the radio because of music on my phone or XM but this could be a dealbreaker for some. Bluetooth is quick to connect to my iPhone 7+ and my wife's iPhone 7 at the same time with no issues. It sounds just as good as if it were wired AUX connection. This unit also has a USB on the back to upload your own wallpapers or store music via USB drive. This unit also comes with the external microphone needed to make phone calls. I ran the mic up to my rearview mirror harness and you can't even tell it is there. It does pick up some road noise but otherwise sounds better than my wife's factory mic in her newer car. The buttons all work well and the touchscreen is quick to react to input. Overall it was one of the best car purchases I made recently and would buy this again.

Everything is self explanatory and works fantastic. No big learning curve to use. My I phone synced right up, Pandora Radio works great, backup camera works flawlessly.

Jeep radio had decent sound but we travel a lot and wanted XM radio and Bluetooth. Touch screen and display are really nice.

I bought this as an open box from the local Best Buy. I downloaded the manual, bought a couple adapters at Wally World and the installation was super easy. The backup camera is good and makes hooking up the horse trailer simple. Really good, crisp sound, even with my factory speakers. The Pandora connection and hands free phone are super clear and awesome. I can now roll down the road with the 80's and 90's cranked and embarrass my kid.

I had the original factory radio in my car. On a long trip before Christmas it started going out. I looked at several radio's and didn't want to spend $1000.00. We found this Radio at Best Buy, I loved the features, and it was reasonably priced. I have had it a couple of weeks now. Still enjoy all the features.

I've was holding off on a new car stereo purchase for a couple years waiting for an affordable deal. I didn't want to dump 400-500 on a stereo when I had a good one. I saw this unit several times when price snooping. I got it for a great price and it does everything I want and I love it. Just buy it.

I was looking for a moderately priced but decent audio system that would allow me to stream my music as well as offer hands free features in an old Nissan Frontier truck. The Pioneer system has exceeded my expectations. It took a while to get an installation appointment but it was worth it.

Replaced a Jensen dvd player that no longer played dvds. Easy to install. Perfect fit. Easy to learn to use. However I didn't get a remote with it. I didn't realize this until it was installed for two weeks. But none the less I'm very happy with this unit

Install was the hardest part. The menu and operating systems are easy to follow. It has back up camera and hookups for aux, USB, and Bluetooth, what more do you need. You will need a bypass t play the DVD while driving for the kids, but for about $11 to $15 it is not a big game changer. I have been happy with the deck and the touchscreen is awesome and accurate. I haven't hooked up a sub yet, but ran all the wires. An awesome deck at a reasonable price. I saw other off-brands for less but decided on the pioneer for the name and familarilty.

Tons of functions, touch screen is nice, ease of switching back and forth is great and the installation guys at the store I go to are awesome.

Very pleased with this purchase. Almost got a Apple Carplay unit but went with this instead and saved about $300. I can get navigation (Waze and Navmii), music streaming, hands free, talk, text and email like the Carplay and Android Auto units. Make sure to upgrade firmware.
