Q: I had mine installed by Best Buy. No matter what I do. It will not play a DVD. It's locked. I do the parking brake thing over and over. Still nothing!! I'm getting frustrated

A: I had the same problem. Best Buy did the install and my DVD would work for video playback, only audio. Most the time it wouldn't advance past the park brake screen. I took it back to Best Buy and the installer contacted Pioneer. It seems my 09 Ford Fusion SEL required special brake connection for the HU. Works great now. I advise you to it back to the Best Buy installation department. If they have issues tell them to call Pioneer for a solution.

A: Camera, definitely. Just plug it in. GPS... I'm still hoping I can get the appradio stuff to do it (not compatible with my current phone). If that fails, I hope to use a video out cord to display my phone's screen to the radio. It won't be touchscreen on the radio (will need to use phone for programming), but will display the nav on the radio.

Q: Will I have to purchase a Satellite tuner even though it is Satellite radio ready?

A: It is satellite ready... it is compatible, but does NOT include satellite receiver.

Q: Does anyone know is this stereo has a aux connection its hard to tell from the picture? Also is it compativle to chevy impala 08? Thanks

A: It doesn't have an AUX port but it does have Bluetooth capabilities and its extremely easy to connect to your phone. Also, once you have initially connected it, it will automatically sync every time you get in your car.

Q: Does this come with a microphone for phone calls?

A: Yes, and I have been told it is very clear. My Best Buy installer put the mic above the rear view mirror (avoids wind noise on A-pillar, and random clunks/rattle from dash mounting by gauge cluster). This also makes it easy to point towards the passenger, though i think it picks them up just fine as is. I never really cared about bluetooth in the car... but it's really pretty nice.

Q: Will this play music videos off iphone 6 with usb cord?

A: Yes, you can use the Pioneer CD-IU52 Lightning to USB cable or the Lightning cable that comes with the phone to connect with this unit.

Nice touch screen stereo
Just had best buy install this a couple weeks ago. I was worried about the touch screen part but I really like it now plus it has the buttons on the left that are not just touch screen. Overall I really like it and I also had a back up camera installed at the same time. The video display for that is really good! You can also with one touch of a button black out your display lets say at night time. That is a nice feature as well. The display is very easy to read and you can adjust different color themes and the size of the font. Over all I am really happy with this for the price I paid. Good quality!

Great in-dash receiver at an affordable price
I have been throwing the idea around for the last few years of upgrading my stock head unit in a second vehicle I own. I don't drive t often, so this purchase was by no means a priority, or one I wanted to invest deeply in. I purchased an older Pioneer in-dash receiver about four years ago, so I am familiar with the brand and features. Although there are a couple of changes to current Pioneer in-dash receivers, they still have the same familiar feel. I rated this item as good because it could use some minor improvements. You are not purchasing a PC, or MAC, so you should not expect that from this product. Drawbacks include: minor touch screen delay, basic software appearance and technology that is slowly out-dating. The App Mode feature is lack luster and is not something that I foresee myself utilizing often. If you're using an iPhone 6 Plus, or newer, you'll likely just use your phone's maps, rather than the Pioneer's App Mode. If you are like me and replacing an older and out of date head unit, included features like Bluetooth and USB/iPod integration may peak your interest. I purchased an external hard drive, with intentions of storing digital media for playback on this device, but am having trouble finding compatible and supported file types. This is something that you can work around. If you intend on watching stored video files from a portable device, please keep in mind that not all file types are supported. The audio quality of the product is great. This head unit will power aftermarket speakers and has plenty of adjust ability, for the audiophile in you. For minimal cost, you can add a backup camera. This head unit would be nice, if available as a Blu-Ray player. Currently, in-dash Blu-Ray players will run at least five times as much. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and would continue to by Pioneer head units in the future. Thank you for continuing to innovate.

Get What You Pay For
After researching plenty of head units, the old adage remains true: You get what you pay for. This is my second Pioneer DVD unit within this mid-range price point and unfortunately I should have trusted my gut and spent the extra money on maybe a BHS model. I installed this in a 2012 Subaru Legacy 3.6R and use an iPhone 6. The pros: The rear USB makes it easy to retain the factory USB in the console (after purchasing a Metra AX-SUBUSB). Bluetooth is always a nice feature, though the provided speaker is a major drop from the factory. The firmware update was relatively easy after installing from the Pioneer website (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/Downloads). The cons: While Spotify is now a separate add-on which provides access to your saved playlists, it still requires you to allow access on your phone. So instead of simply selecting the Spotify mode and listening to music, you have to unlock your phone, open the Spotify app and select something first. The screen is severely lacking in sensitivity. You need to make a substantial press to get the screen to recognize. Response time is a beat off. This is annoying when changing songs on Spotify or from your phone or even when watching a DVD. Regardless of what was last playing on your phone when you start the car up again and select your phone, the first song on your phone starts playing. Then when you switch to a Podcast, Spotify, etc... the album artwork doesn't always change.
