I was expecting better. App mode is very glitchy. Spend the extra$ and buy a apple car play or Android auto head unit.

    Excellent radio for low 200$

I purchased this radio after watching the BB website. Got it for 230, out the door. First things first. Dont read any reviews about it not fitting well - if your existing radio isnt double din, you will be hacking to fit this. Its pretty big. I myself shoehorned it cleanly in a 84 Corvette, so it can be done. Next - the features shown for Spotify/Pandora/Bluetooth are phone dependent. If you dont know how to enable features within your phone, dont post negative reviews. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and it sync'd with the radio no problem. There are so many features and the manual came in handy (its verbatim-how can you get lost?) If you are installing this yourself, you must know the parking brake connection must be wired or half the features arent available to use or configure. As far as sound, I have 6.5" satellite fronts, 6x9's in the rear and 2-12" subs. All of these are powered by amplifiers from the pre-outs, little less than 2k watts total. The outputs are hot and make it very loud at just 20% of volume. Sounds fantastic - there is a 13 band (13 bands for 200$?!) and digital crossover cutoff slopes. If you cant make your music sound good, you need help. I was even able to upload my own custom graphic for the wallpaper(active motion backgrounds are available) All of the connecitons are accessed from the back of the radio, which is my preference as i hate the afterthought wires showing. Ever thing is in my glove box(ipod and phone charger form the radio. The included microphone is good when set to the highest sensitivity(adjusted while in call) and mounted at the driver in the center of the car. Bottom line, minus GPS support from phone or other wise, this is an absolutely amazing radio for the price!

Purchased this to replace standard radio in 2006 gmc yukon xl. Love the new features. Hope it will last as long as the truck will.

    A Good radio

I installed this in my 05 gmc sierra pretty easily. I went with this radio over the cheaper pioneer as it had a few more customization features and wasn't so plain, as well as it was on sale for just over $200. Radio plays CD/DVDs just fine and I am happy with it my only complaint would be at night it can be pretty bright. I am not sure if I did something but it has a dimmer option that is greyed out and I cant use it, maybe I am just missing that feature, so I do find myself turning the display off at night while listening to the radio

    A Couple Things Need Work

I purchased this item to replace the factory sound system on my 2005 Ford Escape. I received a $150 discount for purchasing a pair of Pioneer speakers as part of a package deal. The Pioneer receiver with the new Pioneer speakers is the difference between night and day for my music. There is a couple of things that I have problems with. The speaker for the cellphone doesn't work. I can hear them, but they can't hear me. The other problem is I downloaded the Pioneer apps from the App Store and can't get them to work. I can live without the apps. I'll be taking my vehicle back to Best Buy to see if the Geek Squad can fix or replace the speaker.

Looks and sounds nice but full of bugs...

I've been a long time owner of pioneer products. I always believe they have very good build quality and attention to detail. But I feel let down and surprised that others don't review this product poorly. I also want to not I'm replacing an older pioneer touch screen that other than graphical issues worked amazing and without the below issues. Here are my complaints/bugs... **Bluetooth streaming can't keep song information up to date. Before you blame my phone I work in tech by trade and can assure you I don't have this problem with any other device I stream to. **FM tuner information is all mashed into a 8 character area WHY? **Preset "highlighting" to show what preset you're on works sometimes then other-times nothing is highlighted. **Cycling through presets with steering wheel controls works, but when you stop on a preset then wait a few seconds then start again, instead of moving to the next in line it starts back at the top/first preset... grrr **App radio over USB is finicky at best, it works if you're willing to put in some time, but feels like an afterthought. Go to the android app store and read some reviews, they aren't wrong unfortunately **Pandora works better than most sources but fails to "limited connectivity" and stops playing if you try and change stations. Again don't blame the phone works in the wifes car and my old radio without issue. **The've hidden battery and signal strength of your phone behind the phone menu, unlike previous model gave a small indicator in the bottom corner. **Lots of cramped display issues. Feels like it should be on a bigger screen with things running over other things making text sometimes useless. **Two attempts to contact support have resulted in a ticket being created and no response after months. **Firmware updates up to current have fixed none of the issues. To close the radio isn't all bad, but its not a great experience either. Highly recommend looking into another brand for now.

I've only had this stereo for a couple months but couldn't be happier. It connects and works flawlessly with my phone, LG G3. The controls are simple to learn and use. Great purchase.

Pros - nice touch screen, quick boot, easy to navigate, and plays DVDs good - thats about all I can say good Cons - Radioapp is usless, USB does not read ANYTHING other than to connect radioapp and bluetooth constantly cuts out - the 3 main reasons I wanted this unit... Wish I saved the box - this would be a return item for sure
