This radio was not what I expected. I was under the impression that it had apple car play. It did not but overall it’s an ok radio.
Thank you for providing feedback on the product, we appreciate your time. I am sorry to hear you felt the DMH-342EX had Apple CarPlay. You might consider the DMH-1800NEX.

I think I have a lemon. After 2 weeks, the am radio stopped working. Then a few days later, the unit completely stopped working (pressing the reset button fixed it). Since then, the unit freezes and needs to be restarted. Unit is still less than a month old.
As for functionality, the unit does not have a mute button, which is very annoying when my kids are in the car or my phone rings.
I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the DMH-342EX. If you connect your phone via Bluetooth, it will mute the radio when you receive a call. Also, press and hold the Home icon, it has 4 little squares, this will mute the radio too. Please contact our Product Support at 1-800-421-1404, select option 1. They will provide troubleshooting assistance on the freezing issue.
