Very easy to use screen and settings. Perfect for Android auto

My son saved his money and purchased this with some birthday money we had given him. He's had it for 5 months now and he loves it. He loves the sound, all the features, etc. We debated between it and the models that were a step up and a step down from this and glad we went with this one. Also, the installation was fast and they did an excellent job!

Buy it. Apple car play is a awesome feature. Easy to use.

So far, so good. Works very well with the the SiriusXM adapter and the datalink units for keeping existing controls with your steering wheel. One thing that wasn't explained prior to purchase was the inability to keep using your existing microphone for telephone calls and the like. Rear camera works well with the head unit.

Great unit, very user friendly sounds Fantastic.

Overall, i really like this unit. The only issue I currently have is with appradio, and my phone. (nexus 6p.) I am still working on this. And it is fussy as to what is on a usb stick or poor quality usb cables. Android auto works better than i hoped, and you can run other audio apps in the background to listen to, you are not locked into the android auto only apps. bluetooth is clear, and overall this is a very solid unit.

I got this car stereo on sale for around $500.00 (NOT an open box) and it is awesome!!! I do recommend this, especially if you can get it around the price that I did. I installed it myself and it was a little tricky since I wanted to add better speakers and an amp. But worth the time to do it right.

I bought this to replace the stock radio in my Subaru. It has been wonderful. It's loaded with features. It's nice to use with carplay on my iPhone. Probably the only downfall is how long it takes to boot up when you start the car. Other than that it's worth the money.

The unit is excellent. The USB connectivity will be very useful for long trips. The bluetooth phone works well though the unit couldn't connect to the existing microphone in my GM/On Star equipped car. I have not been able to get the unit to show all the contacts from my Android phone, though that may be an operator issue. Also, the instruction manual is limited in some areas. The backup camera will be a big help because rearward vision in the car is limited. The screen has better (larger) graphics which makes it easier to use than my previous unit.

I am so happy with this purchase! The Jeep dealer installed a new nav/cd/dvd unit when I purchased a used Wrangler, and I was never really happy with it's performance or quality. I was looking to upgrade to a system with Apple Car Play, and I'm so glad I picked this unit. I noticed an immediate improvement in sound quality from all inputs. It's a nice compliment to the Pioneer speaker system that came stock in the Wrangler. Would definitely recommend!

My previous Pioneer headunit went out after 9 years. And after looking at Sony, Kenwood I found that Pioneer had what I needed with the Appleplay and I didn't need to get one with GPS. And I can watch movies from USB flash drive a plus.

Chose the 4200nex over several others bcuz of reviews and advice from other car stereo stores. Interface is easy to use and comes with useful features. I used the geek squad installation (poor job btw) and had the maestro installed with it so I can keep my steering wheel controls. Overall the head unit works good and the only gripe I have is the time it takes to boot up from ignition start to when the screen is operational. I have a back up camera and most of the time the screen doesn't switch back to the camera when I'm in reverse so I end up losing that feature until it finishes booting up and gets past the warning screen. By that time, I'm already shifting to drive. There should be an option to at least disable the warning banner.

I purchased this unit for the backup camera option.The apple car play is outstanding.Very simple unit to operate.Would defiantly recommend.

I haven't ran into a single problem with this thing. A little glare from the Sun but overall you can always see what's playing. Bluetooth works great along with the hdmi output. It can also play SDXD if formatted correct.

Tons of features and sounds amazing. Radio has delivered great results and the features are awesome. Compared to my old alpine deck it's got the newer technology which is huge especially the Bluetooth and satellite I was looking for. Overall I been amazed with pioneer's technology built into this radio and the display is bright and clean. Next up an amp to make the sound come out even more. Overall I give it an A+

I got this radio to replace my JVC and it is awesome. If you are using an iphone all you have to do is plug it up and you can use most of the basic apps on the screen like having it to read your text messages to you.

Quality receiver at a great price. Only gripe is on me. I should have done the steering wheel controls for the extra hundred bucks. It's worth it because of the push button volume controls on the receiver.
