Great pioneer nex 4200 would definitely recommend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well let me tell you this is a great Pioneer Double-Din I've always been the Kenwood excelon fan and purchased kenwood Products so this year I give it a try by buying a pioneer 4200 what I liked about this unit is Android auto basically all of theFutures that it has lots of people complain that the audio quality isn't that good but let me tell you it's really good audio quality the crossovers an equalizer really makes it fine tuning plus when you play music videos onto USB you get really fine tuning video and audio quality I had the Kenwood excelon 9903s didn't see that much difference in audio quality plus it was hard to adjust the eq and crossover as other reviews yes the kenwood looks more fancier but that is just it plus the Pioneer is detachable which is an extra thumbs up people I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Pioneer over the Kenwood for security reasons your vehicle getting vandalized even with the sophisticated alarm thieves still be trying to break into it when they see any car stereo that is not detachable

Was really impressed by this radio
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First let start out by saying i am a diehard kenwood fan. But when comparing this radio to the kenwood it has the same features plus u can remove the screen! Also it was a $100.00 cheaper than the kenwood. So I took a chance and diffently was not disappointed!!! The sound quaility on this radio is amazing.

Love this radio!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a 2003 Ford F-150 which had the stock radio in place. No Bluetooth, no way to charge my phone. Oh how spoiled we have become! This radio is fantastic! On screen controls, even came with a little remote. It uses my iPhone settings and Siri for music and the GPS for mPs so it's all very compact. You could even tie in back up cameras if you wanted and watch DVDs (never when driving). Detachable face so you don't have to leave it in your car and lose it to thieves. It even has a neoprene protective case. This is a great radio and worth the price.

Great looking unit with great sound!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit works very well with my Galaxy S7 phone and Sirius Radio. It also allowed me to add a backup camera that shows as soon as I put my truck into reverse. A very good choice for an upgrade from my factory radio/cs player.

Great Android Auto Head Unit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to install an Android Auto head unit into my 2013 Ford Focus. This product was in my price range and had the features I was looking for. I used the Scosche FD6200B dash kit and Scosche FD02SR wiring interface kit. I was concerned because the FD02SR kit doesn't officially support steering wheel controls for Pioneer head units. I discovered that connecting the FD02SR as is, without cutting any wire loops (Sony head unit setting), worked well. Apparently Sony and Pioneer head units use very similar wired remote protocols. I am very happy with the install as I've retained my steering wheel media controls and would recommend this head unit to anyone in the market for an Apple Car Play or Android Auto head unit.

Great Stereo with CarPlay
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this replace the factory stereo in my F-150. I wanted CarPlay and did my research and found this to be the best. Easy to install and works as intended. It is easy to switch from the OEM software to CarPlay. It is a little bit more than the other dedicated CarPlay stereos but after doing the research and the fact that I would be investing +$500 into the project I wanted to get the right system. The consultant at Best Buy was very helpful.

Great Pioneer Stereo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pleased with stereo. Installation employee was outstanding. Negative was the fact that inside sales sold us a system For a vehicle that didnt have an available install kit. Installer had to fabricate on he spot so he install is not a clean as it should be.

Q: Questionhave navigation system
Asked by yoni.
- A:Answer To explain more fully. The 4200NEX does not have GPS built in but when hooked up to an iPhone using Lightning Audio or an Android Phone using at minimum Lollipop one can use either Android Auto or Apple Carplay and use the mapping from their phone through the radio. it will display on the radio and can be controlled through voice commands. this will use phone data just as if you were using phone mapping anyway... the 5200NEX, 7200NEX, and 8200NEX will have mapping built in from Pioneer.

Q: QuestionMy concern is that Android Auto is going wireless within the next few months. This unit, and every other unit offered now, needs to be plugged into the receiver as I understand it. Will this unit work wirelessly?
Asked by gmrvt.
- A:Answer At the present moment no, as you stated it isn't wireless... That decision will be up to Pioneer if they want to produce an add-on to make it wireless. the primary issue with wireless is battery life so without either plugging the item in anyway, or having wireless charging in the vehicle, it sometimes just makes more sense to plug it in.

Q: QuestionWhat is really the difference between the nex and the avh 3800 bs ? Besides a bigger screen
Asked by Gallagher.
- A:Answer The difference is really in the nex processor. This processor has update able software and really packs a lot of features such as apple car play and android auto. It also gives you the ability to tap into your cars computer which gives you other functions such as guage's and engine light codes and the ability to reset engine codes. This does require the use of another module called an I data meistro data link.

Q: QuestionI'm hearing that there is a problem with this unit properly pairing up with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Anyone having a problem? Thanks!
Asked by TEP.
- A:Answer If you are talking about the AVH-4200NEX, I have the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Yes, there is an issue. Read my review. But Cables, cables, cables. Use the Pioneer supplied USB cable to connect to the radio and use the shortest "fully capable" (not just a charger cable) to connect from the radio's cable to the phone. Once I did that, my S7 Edge connects every time. No issues.

Q: QuestionIs this stereo receiver detachable?
Asked by Buckeye.
- A:Answer Yes the 4200 NEX is detachable and very easy to detach the best way is to angle it up that way you will have an easier access then there's a little lever on the bottom slide your finger to the right and press it'll detach
