I had SC-79; however I updated to sc-89 for the Dolby Atmos; I would say, if you are not too much for Dolby atmos stick to sc-79 if you have one; I am very disappointed at Pioneer for not adding the THX certification to SC-89; Solid separation and GREAT sound present when you watching movies.

Pretty good.

So far it's working pretty well, but it can take 10 or so seconds to change the channel which can be a bit frustrating. Also had an issue in the beginning where it would randomly change inputs. It does have an app for my phone that can be convienent. I can turn down the volume from another room or shut it off when my kids have it up too loud.

The folks at Best Buy and there magnolia center couldn't even figure out how to operate it. Just a few notes: - hdmi won't recognize computer - USB Dac won't detect computer - sound randomly turns off or is muffled -the surround output is so low, can't hear it The list goes on and on....do yourself a favor and don't make the same $3,000 mistake I did!

I netted over $1000 in spare change. I could not be happier with the sound quality and the options this receiver provides.

Crisp, clear and amazing sound. Easy setup

This elite receiver powers my bowers and wilkins cm10s very well. Provides amazing sounds with music and movies. Always will recommend pioneer elite products.
