Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the Bluetooth connectivity, sound quality, and ease of use of this in-dash deck. Many appreciate the value for the price and the inclusion of a remote control. However, some customers find the display brightness insufficient, particularly in sunlight, and the buttons somewhat small. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding the display and buttons.

Purchased for my 1999 Infiniti QX4 for the added convenience of Bluetooth & music streaming compared to the factory BOSE unit. Head unit was easy to install and easy to add my upgraded amp and subwoofer as well. Price was great for quality and features. Best Buy was a extremely high for installation so my brother and I did it one afternoon in an hour.

Nice entry level receiver. Purchased primarily to get bluetooth in an older car. Sounds great. Only couple of issues I found were "alternator whine" noise after the installation (done by GeekSquad) which was resolved using a filter by the technician (who knew his stuff); and the fact that the face color is bright blue, that doesn't match the factory dash color. I would go for the next level up (6800BT) that has customizable colors, which was unfortunately out of stock at BB when I purchased.

This radio is fantastic it is very easy to use. It was very easy to connect my phone to it and making and receiving calls works perfect! It will even read your incoming texts and it asks you if you want to reply. Replying is very easy just speak your message when you finish the radio reads it back to you and then asks if you want to start over or add to the message or send it. It's a great radio!

It is easy to install and to operate. Bluetooth paring is always a bit of a hassle the first time, but with this unit it is fairly easy. However, getting it to choose between two paired devices is not intuitive. You'd think it would be in the Bluetooth menu, but it is in the function menu. Sound quality is very good. Mic for phone calls is very clear and works well. I positioned it on my steering column.

I've been using this now for about a month, my iPhone starts playing automatically when I get in the car, and picks up again when I get in again. Calls are crystal clear over the speakers. Overall I've been very happy with the stereo the technicians recommended.

This was a direct fit from my older Pioneer radio, and I was very pleased with the way it worked out. Pulled the old one out, put the new one in. I was very amazed at the fact that even in a loud older chevy, the mic still works great, very little background noise in phone calls. Sound is great, good features, love the bluetooth.

First thing first, reason I bought this was because this unit was reasonably priced. Second, I was in the market for a Bluetooth capable head unit. This one seemed to be a good all around unit. Post installation, I found out that this particular head unit did not have audio options any novice user would absolutely need and want. There are presets for the EQ but the option to manually adjust mids and highs is not available. Sound output is up to par. However the ability to manually adjust some settings really restricts this unit. Comparing to other units that have the option to control all sound output, this one falls short. I had a Sony xplod deck, an older 2001 model, and I feel like the sound had much more fullness to it compared to this deck. Not to mention all the freedom of manually adjusting all aspects of the sound. Mixtrax is useless, don't make that a selling point. Display is not bright enough when in sunlight. I find myself constantly trying to cover it with my hand to see what it's displaying. 4 months after installation, the amplifier inside the unit had failed. All speakers were producing a static noise during treble points when level is above 27. This unit goes up to 62. My conclusion; if you want the freedom and no restriction as far as adjustment of sound and a display thats easy to see in all environments, buy another unit. If you want crisp, sharp and full sound buy a Sony. Im more of the pickier consumers when it comes to my fulfillment when it comes down to sound. Now Pioneer expects the customer to pay for shipping to the repair center...no thanks, I'll buy a more reliable unit. And I won't make the same mistake again. This isn't to bash pioneer, but an insight as to what I had to deal with.

I went in looking for an inexpensive head unit and found this. I had very low expectations, just needed to replace a blown stock radio. The sound dramatically improved. Controls are easy to use.

The stereo has pretty good settings as far as sound quality. Quick and simple and it can get really loud! Only bad thing is that it doesn't change color like the rest do.

This c Piioneer deck is great. It comes with jacks in the back for a subwoofer and Satalitte radio. I also like being able to design any color scheme I wish. The hands free operation is awesome. I can make or recieve phone calls without touching anything. This allows me to focus on my driving. I can also use Siri on my iPhone and play any playlist I wish. Installation on my 02 Avalanche took about 30 minutes. This is a great product and I highly recommend it.

Excellent product, even better service. I went into Best Buy thinking that the replacement of the radio in my vehicle would be costly and time-consuming, and also worried that the new unit would not fit exactly and look like a poor replacement for the original sound system. The sales staff was wonderful in helping me select just the right system and the installation staff got it in in under an hour, while I waited. I couldn't have asked for more. It sounds fabulous, and looks like a factory installation.

I purchased this radio to replace the Pioneer already installed in his car mainly because it was hard to navigate through the menus. This radio is much easier to use and has a lot of great features. The Bluetooth works great also. This radio doesn't allow you to change the colors so keep that in mind if that is important to you.

I was looking for a CD player, new head unit/deck to replace the old one in my work truck. At this price point ($75 at time of purchase), I'm very happy. The audio quality is great. I have a powered 8" sub in my cab and it pairs very well with this unit. I predominantly listen to music via Bluetooth, but this unit also gives you a variety of options to play direct from apps, radio, aux, or CD.

We got this as an upgrade for the old radio in my wife's car. When we chose it we didn't realize all the features it had. It features Blue Tooth connectivity so we can use it wirelessly with Pandora or any music services on our smartphones. Plus it automatically imported my wife's contacts so she can make hands free calls through the stereo using the included tiny microphone that the installed mounted on our steering column. Sound is fine, and the unit features AM/FM, CD, Blue Tooth, USB and mini-jack inputs. The controls are a little more complicated than I would like, but we figured it out after using it a few times, so no problem. As a side note, installation at the Best Buy in Victorville, California was excellent. Very knowledgeable and very friendly.

The display at its brightest is very dim and impossible to read in the daytime. Ironically, the buttons are actually too bright and not adjustable which only serves to make matters worse when trying to drive at night. Also the display is way too animated with no way to turn it off. Sounds pretty good though. Bottom line, really disappointed in Pioneer for designing such a lousy display. Unfortunately all of their models are the same.
