Love Pioneer car stereos,for the price and what you get its hard to find a better brand.

I bought this unit to replace the stock stereo in my wife's Toyota Yaris. Here are my thoughts. Pros 1. Price - for less than $100, it's a solid aftermarket head unit. 2. Installation - a breeze to install with a wiring harness and DIN kit. 3. Front Facing USB - handy for charging phones. Includes built in controls for iPod/iPhone and Pandora. 4. Sound Quality - better sound quality than I expected. Good bass at the default settings even out of the Yaris stock speakers. 5. Radio Reception - Good (but not great) radio reception. We purchased this mainly because the stock radio wouldn't pick up NPR. Performs better than other aftermarket units I've had before. Cons 1. Menu navigation - my biggest problem is that the menu is extremely difficult to navigate. It is not intuitive. For instance, it's extremely difficult to find a radio station especially if you're driving. 2. Screen visibility - can be difficult to see particularly on a sunny day. Bottom Line: it's a bare bones aftermarket head unit, but if you don't care about features, it's worth the price.

Just exactly what I needed! I like that I'm able to change the display colors to match the other display colors in my HHR. And the integration with Pandora is as flawless as it can be without a touchscreen.

Everything I needed for a replacement! Lives up to the expectations! Wish I could've bought it sooner!

i just love how the how the stuff at best buy helps customers find what they are looking for to buy. the guy that helped me out couple months ago on which cd player to buy for my van, i also got 2 more cds players for my brother and nephew the same day as i got my Pioneer - CD - Apple iPod-Ready my brother and nephew got different ones but we end up bring back my brothers cd player his did not work for him no i do not know which one he got that time. but when he took the 1st one that he got the same day that i got min. when he returned the 1st one back he end up getting the same kind i have a Pioneer - CD - Apple iPod-Ready. for my nephew his was not like what was in the box but he is alright for his needs of it. i always like the Pioneer cds players or any kind of Pioneer. thank you so much for helping us out.

It's really very good car stereo, I like it, and recommend.

It's awful! Is very difficult to figure out and the owner's manual is a joke. The illumination was too bright at night so I lowered it and now I can't see it at all in daylight. What is the difference between level of "illumination" and "dimmer?" I have no idea. Also if you have a CD in the player and turn it on, it still makes you cycle thru "aux" and "radio" to get to "CD" instead of going right to CD. I still can't figure out how to backtrack on a CD. The radio station buttons are incredibly tiny so don't buy it if you have big fingers. When you go to turn it off, it usually cycles again through "aux" and "radio" instead of just turning off. I'm sorry I bought it and wouldn't recommend it.

Pretty standard receiver. A lot of bass controls, which I like.

The system is good, but it uses presets for audio equalizer. In other words it does not have option where you can adjust treble, Bass and the middle tone. However, it gives you the opportunity to adjust each component of equalizer. For example, it would give you an option to increase or decrease the wave in 250 KHz or something like that. It seemed to me confusing, for you have to know which wave is for treble and which for bass and for the middle tones. That is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I do not care about the music formats because MP3 format is enough to listen to music. If you have music in other format you can easily convert to MP3.

I absolutely love this deck. It gives you amazing flexibility and allows you to have a fun feature in your car as it changes colors and provides you with the ability to listen to music on almost anything!

I installed this unit in about a half hour. it has cool features can change the color of the screen separately from the outside color that lights up the border of the unit. like it so far.sounds great

This unit was easy to install. My only complaint is that the display for the station or track is dim. During the day it is very hard to see even after trying to find the brightest color. The sound is good and easy to adjust.
