I have always been a Denon guy, but after reading some reviews, I was pointed towards this model. It was easy to setup and calibrate and sounds fantastic!

Bought this to replace an older Pioneer Elite receiver that did not support 4K. The replacement was simple since all of the connections were the same. Connected satellite box, Roku, and Blu-Ray player, along with 5.1 speaker setup. Works great and easy to switch between inputs. Especially love the control on the remote to be able to quickly change the volume of the dialogue, since this seems to vary so much between different programs and input sources.

I bought this Pioneer to replace a VSX-1022? that started making loud noises after 8 yrs. I really liked the sound of the old 1022's MCACC digital processor, so I bought this similar Pioneer model. This Elite model sounds almost as good, and the controls are easier to operate. The WiFi connection and setup was amazingly easy. This Elite model cost $500, whereas the old 1022 was only $250. I would buy this Elite model again. I hope it lasts longer than 8 years.

I replaced an 8-year old Onkyo receiver. This is one sounds better, is easier to set up, and doesn't weigh a ton. A win-win-win as they say.

I have been enjoying the Pioneer Elite VSX-LX104-B that was purchased during the black Friday Sale! It replaced a very old and outdated audio system. I still have to set it up to function in Home Theater mode but I like the fact that it is able to receive system updates via its wireless web connection and that I am able to connect my cell phone via its Bluetooth connection, to listen to music from the web or my phone. Sound quality is far better than what my former system ever produced and am using the speakers from the old system. Great system!

Still getting used to this receiver. Not used to Bluetooth and advanced surround sound features. Setting up my audio configuration on my TV was a first. Anyway, clicking on the remote to change or pause songs on my ipod is pretty cool. I've used Pioneer stereos for years so I thought I'd be familiar with this one but the new features took awhile to get used too. I am satisfied with the sound quality and I will stick with Pioneer going forward.

Absolutely fantastic. Insanely customizable, amazing sound and picture quality, and quick response time. Upgraded from an older, not Elite pioneer and it was totally worth it. You can do pretty much anything you would need or want to do with this guy and more. I ended up plugging ethernet directly in because I had a few issues with my wifi but I honestly don't blame the reciever.

Plenty of HDMI. Good, clean audio. Not utilizing the 7.1 but given the good 2 channel I'm sure it's satisfactory.

I had bought an earlier model Pioneer Elite and wanted to upgrade to Bluetooth and HDR capability. I also wanted a bigger choice of sound platforms but didn’t want to spend $1000. I got all of that and much more. The Elite focuses on sound quality and depth rather than extensive list of options that will never be used. Some of the best money I have ever spent.

This unit was a significant upgrade for us. All the options and features provide multiple choices of inputs, both audio and video. The unit is easy to program and pair with other devices including smartphone, tablet and TV. The settings allow one push of a button to turn on the receiver and TV simultaneously. Have had Pioneer products for many years and always impressed with their products.

It took me two days of false starts, connecting, disconnecting, reconnecting, and calibrating to get the unit fully functional. The instructions (pretty much just a drawing) packed with the unit are inadequate, so the extensive online-only manual had to be consulted repeatedly. Once installed, I was very pleased with the performance although operation of the controls in the many configurations the receiver offers required me to print a hard copy of the 151-page manual for reference.
