I was excited to try out this receiver for its great price and large feature set. The unit has Dolby Atmos, DTS X, auto Room calibration and HDMI ARC. It also has a pretty high power output for such a modest priced receiver. I have owned Pioneer ELITE models in the past and have been mostly impressed with their sound, dependability, and performance. After I hooked this unit up to my Martin Logan 4i speakers and ran the calibration utility, I immediately noticed how FLAT everything sounded. There was literally no life to any of the material i played. Music, effects, dialogue all lacked punch and the bass effects were severely limited. I ran a firmware update to the unit, and completely restarted the process - reset to factory, reinstalled the speakers, and ran the calibration utility again to similar results. The unit was dependable, passed through HDMI Arc signals reliably, and did a good job handing all of the equipment i plugged into it, but at the end of the day a receiver needs to sound good - and this unit just sounded dull and without expression so i returned it.

This receiver replaced one that had been damaged by a power surge on my home theater system. Installation was easy, and the picture and sound are great. Great value for the price.

Great upgrade of an old system that didn't have bluetooth capability. Easy to install and replace old receiver. Manual is online, makes it easy to look up any questions. Sound quality is good.

Is so easy to set up this receiver, just plug in the included microphone and run the auto calibration. he will do everything for you. do not forget to add a sub-woofer to your setup.

I have this receiver in my basement to use while exercising as well as for while I'm doing my laundry. This works very well for both tasks, and also is good for both movies and music.

I'm not rally an audiophile, but I definitely did my research on receivers in this price point. This one stood out for its features, and has not disappointed. Easy set up, and great sound!

The receiver was easy to setup for my home home theater. The phone tech support cleared up any issues and explained how to address any common problems. The system sounds great.

I bought this item as a 3rd 4K receiver for my bedroom. Dolby atmos sound works quite well. Disappointed with the remote, looks cheap for a $500 item.

This is a great av system for the price. I'm running a 5.1 surround sound , all Sony speakers at 6ohm. It's plenty powerful for my use. Also Xbox, Blu-ray, cable box and Pandora are connected. Setup was stressful but worth it.

This receiver was super easy to set up. I already had an older Pioneer elite, so it was a breeze to connect the speakers. Works great!
