Went to buy a Yamaha but found this Elite on clearance half price. Even purchased the Yamaha later but ended up returning because this pioneer just simply sounded better. There is a clicking noise from time to time from the unit but it’s infrequent and doesn’t really bother me. Something with the power saving feature. Lots of bass but you must tweak the settings to get the best sound!!

This receiver powers my pioneer elite tower speakers and center speaker perfectly. I've tried high end Sony and even JVC back in the day. The others don't come close to this receiver. The different settings for sound around for music, tv, and sports is awesome. So glad I bought this.....it even tricks my dogs.....lol

Wonderful upper mid-level home theater receiver with great features and nice sound. For the same money, a 2.1 channel amplifier designed specifically for music would provide superior sound quality. BUT, for a home theater receiver that can double as a music receiver, this is a very nice model. Home theater modes cover all of the major formats, including Dolby Atmos. In fact, I set up my system as a 5.1.4 Atmos system. The Zone 2 feature is nice, and I have some lower mid-level audiophile-quality speakers (B&W) connected. Zone 2 could also be used to add 2 more speakers (separate amp needed for this) to the home theater experience (I could turn 5.2.4 into 7.2.4, for example). Sound is more refined than my older Onkyo TX-NR676 (great deal). Like the Onkyo, this model offers a full complement of streaming services and internal DAC, enabling direct playback of high quality digital music. This HTR is a bit pricey, but it is excellent.

The Pioneer Elite Receiver performs at an outstanding level. It sounds much better than higher priced units for Home Theater. Don't be fooled by the hype from other manufacturers ,get the Pioneer Elite and buy something else like a Sony Blu Ray player with the savings.

We are enjoying the sound system very much. It was fairly easy to set up, actually had a tech friend help. Pioneer's customer help is second to none. I had an issue and called and they talked me through the problem right then. Outstanding customer service.

I had been looking for a new receiver for about 3 years and none of them checked all the boxes like this one did. Plus is got it at a great price to match! I would recommend this device to anyone in the market looking for a new A/V head unit.

Setup was easy, customizable inputs and outputs easily understood, good performance and really like the styling. I was a denon or Yamaha diehard but this was a steal at the price with features and I have no regrets

Had a Denon 7.2 that died on me and was looking for an upgrade. Was running a Atmos setup on the Denon but was a couple channels short. This took care if that. Have a proper 11.2 setup with this bad boy. Sounds great. Would recommend for any atmos setup.

I bought my 1st Pioneer SX receiver in 1977. SPECTACULAR sound reproduction is an understatement. Pioneer just got better over the years and this receiver will amaze you. Add a subwoofer and be prepared to be blown away.

I absolutely love this receiver . I have it attached to a Klipsch system and I am rocking a 7.1.2 system . Pioneer Receivers are too notch and i listen to my Apple Music through my receiver .

We needed a new receiver to hook up 9 speakers because we have 2 speakers more than we used to. Works great and we can listen to outdoor music and have something different going on inside the house.

Upgraded from a 100watt pioneer elite to this one to complete my 7.2.2 home theater. The extra watts on this one really give it a whole new sound.

Is not a 9.2 AV is a 7.1.2 so if you like Dolby Atmos is the right AV for you Software don’t let me set my speaker at 8 Ohms only 4 and 6 Ohms available, It is a big disappointment coming from Pioneer
