    There are always good moments in these sequels. They definitely adopt the Fast&Furious method of trying to up the stakes each time and there's no really explanation for why but if you like the first one you're probably not gonna hate this either.

    Like the first movie, this one kind of lovingly pokes fun at a cappella singing, but is more about the quirks of the singers themselves. When they take themselves too seriously on the screen, that makes for some of the funniest moments. As with other competition-based movie sequels, this one involves stepping up to the next level to vie against a bigger talent pool (the whole world, apparently). This makes for some entertaining interactions with the German team, Das Sound Machine, and of course must entail using someone's previously-discouraged talent to help the team later on. But it's still a fun movie to watch, and many of them are really very talented singers (Anna Kendrick, you little scrapper, you).
