I like nature movies and when it's in 4K it's 10 times better planet Earth one was amazing just think about the second one gorgeous and all the animals makes it 100 times better

The advances that have occurred in the methods to capture the behavior of animals in their natural environment are particularly obvious. The use of an on-bird video camera view of an Alpine valley from the perspective of a flying eagle looking for food, its hurtling dive to that food and then the fights between competing eagles at the site of the food is a must-watch.

This 3 disc has three subject segments on each disc. This is an outstanding disc. The photography is outstanding the sound and narration fully up to the previous standards set by David Attenborough's experience. The subjects are varied and planet comprehensive. Very good entertainment that lasts, as it doesn't get old to view it again.

This can really show off your 4K TV. I was amazed at how good nature looks. Even my cat was glued to the tv ;)

This three UHD Blu-Ray w/HDR boxed set does not come with a standard Blu-Ray version, so unless you have a 4K UHD Television with HDR and 4K UHD Blu-Ray Player with HDR, and a HDMI 2.0 or better cable to attach the two, don't bother getting this. I repeat all those specs because, if you aren't set up for all of it from player to monitor, you won't be able to play these discs at all. If you DO have 4K UHD with HDR on both your Television and Player, with the properly-rated HDMI cable, though? It looks stunning, as you would expect a nature documentary produced by Sir David Attenborough for The BBC to look. Sir David's crew takes full advantage of the latest technology to produce a Ultra HD nature series that will show off your UHD setup spectacularly. It's just a pity Attenborough no longer appears on-camera like he used to, though he does do all the voice-over in that peculiarly breathy style of his. A word of warning - like most recent BBC Nature Documentaries, this series doesn't shy away from fairly violent scenes of animals eating each other, suffering fatal mishaps, or dying as a result of human action or inaction. If you have younger children or are of a sensitive disposition, you might not enjoy watching parts of this.

got a new lg oled tv; of course, none to little 4k content over satellite and i dont do internet crap...so, popped this baby in my new HD4K player, along with a super HDMI connecting cable...and my goodness...it's like all those animals were in my living room...yeah, it's only 4k and i know 8K is here, but i am 63 years old and that dont matter so much....as if our eyes can tell the difference...use this disc to measure the performance of your new 4K system....it's stunning...and i am not even a nature kind of guy...this video is stunningly wonderfully amazing...

I love nature documentaries and documentary series, like the original "Planet Earth" and this sequel, primarily because they show me things that I will never likely see first-hand, such as a whale breaching, a penguin fishing, a hummingbird feeding its young, or a lion on the prowl for food. The episodes in this collection, presented in 4KHD, are chock full of visual moments that show how beautiful the planet is and all of its creations. It also features David Attenborough's outstanding narration. There's nothing like a British accent to lend sophistication and gravitas to scenes of a volcano erupting or a shark feeding. For the price I paid as a "Deal of the Day," this collection was too good to pass up; but having now seen it, I would pay full price because it's worth it.

Enjoying the show on my LG C1 OLED screen with bright colors of the varies landscapes and inky black during dark scenes.

A must buy if you're wanting to see what 4k physical quality is all about. Fantastic series of course and imo worth grabbing as the streaming quality just can't compete.

This documentary is AMAZING! The animals in this documentary would be Beautiful and captivating enough on a standard disc, but they are even more breathtaking to see in high definition!

If you caught the first Planet Earth series then you know what to expect. If you haven't seen either of these series prepare to be swept up in an enthralling look at the natural world. The footage is breathtaking and it is easy to believe that it took years of fervent dedication to capture these special moments. See animals in ways you never have. This series is so rewarding I can't recommend enough.

What the original Planet Earth did for HD, Planet Earth 2 does for 4k. This series is a feast for the eyes with all of its beautiful 4k imagery. David Attenborough is great as usual as the narrator. I swear ALL nature documentaries should be narrated by him. If you're looking for a disc that will show off your shiny, new 4k TV, this is certainly one to get.

Great Views and information delivered by a calming voice. This is the less costly version of Planet Earth.

There's so much about this documentary that I love. The colors pop out at you, you can really hear the sounds of every howl, scuttle, or shift the animals make, and you can see every detail of the animals in amazing detail. Playing the 4K version with an HDR greatly enhances all these great, little details, too.

This 4K Blu Ray looks amazing. It is a definite improvement over watching the same content on Netflix. My only complaint is that it only has a DTS soundtrack that doesn’t work well with my Sonos system. This isn’t an issue with the disc but with my sound system and my UHD player that can’t decode DTS on the fly.
