the origional planet of the apes movie that spawned 4 decades of sequals and remakes, if you are a fan of the later movies do yourself a favor and check it out

I remember this playing on HBO on the weekends when I was little! Great movie and the acting was good.

I just had to get this, mainly to watch with my teenage daughter. Although the film wasn't as good as I remember it being, it still holds up pretty well. It's been reviewed so many times by so many insightful critics that there's no need for more.

I'm old enough to remember when this first came out and OK, the monkey's faces look fake. CGI has come a long way since 1968. But it still has a great story. The same story that how many (?) sequels have been built on.

One of the great Sci-Fi classics of all time….I love this movie

A world ruled by apes, humans being slaves, the rebellion against species...a simple but effective sci-fi movie of all time.

This is a great film for sure! This is a classic film, that is always a joy to watch. It is good for the whole family. :-)

Hadn't seen this original Planet of the Apes since I was a kid, and I have to say it holds up well and looks great on Blu-Ray. Plus, it's loaded with bonus features to provide a great look at the film and its making.

Bought the blu-ray for my kids to see. they were blown away that a movie could be rated G with cussing and a man's butt in it...and blood

A classic fgilm that my kids had never seen -- it is a bit slow for modern movies but the acting and plot still hold.

I so grew up only getting to see this movies in parts am so happy I found it at Best Buy I love charelton the actor

What can I say, "A Masterpiece". With all the sequels, remakes and everything else, the original is still the best.

It's hard to believe that the author of Bridge on the River Kwai was the author of the book Planet of the Apes - but that is what makes it different from others in the genre. The blu-ray is a must have.

The Original and by far the BEST of the Apes film EVER. Quite frankly should have Stopped with this Classic.

I had never seen the original Planet of the Apes so I was glad to be able to snatch this up in the $5 bin.

50 years later, this film still packs a punch. It shows the potential danger inherent in arrogance and bigotry, for all of us.

A classic movie remastered in HD and it couldn't look any better! I love this classic movie and you cant go wrong on Blu Ray!
