    Not many choices in this venue for kids. Took a little bit of time for the kids to become adept with the controls, their first shooter game, but definitely fun. Game strategy does deviate from for those familiar with handheld or app based Plants vs. Zombies.

    It's good that this game isn't $60, because it isn't worth that. At $40 though? That depends on you. It has 3 game modes, which is a bit limited for me. They are essentially team deathmatch, conquest, and horde. Each one is very well done though, and there is a good bit of variety in the classes. I'm not a fan of the upgrade progression path though. You buy packs with in game money, and get random goods. The coins are too hard to get, and all feels a bit too F2P/microtransactiony for me. Overall though, the gameplay is a lot of fun, but nothing revolutionary or deep.

    Everyone remembers Plants vs Zombies for its light hearted strategy components. Well, the light hearted part made it, but the strategy did not. It basically feels like Team Fortress or some other multiplayer shooter with some PvZ dressing. More playable classes would be good too. But at least there's lots of customization for your character. And the local Coop mode isn't bad (it's basically a Horde mode). But single player missions would have been a nice way to learn the game. Worth it for the price, but realize this is not a single player game.
