I liked this movie before it came out in blue ray. I like it even more in blue ray format. The price for this movie in blue ray is one I couldn't turn down

This is a very good movie. The accuracy of this film can be questioned. The film's story is based on the director's (Oliver Stone) experience in Vietnam.

A masterwork….Oliver Stone’s Master Epic….one of the best movies of all time.

Obviously, the movie is a classic. I don’t buy many hard copies anymore, but the steel box makes it a nice collectible.

Platoon is an incredible film. Shocking, intense, tragic. Oliver Stone really brings the horrors of the Vietnam war to the viewer’s eyes. Listen to the commentary with Stone, it’s amazing. Beautiful steelbook. Great price. A must buy.

A great transfer for this must own film. Steelbook has nice artwork to. Loaded with features as well.

Best war movie about Vietnam I'v seen. They had good Technical advisor, and a director who lived it, as I did a long, long time ago.

Platoon is one of the best war films of the 1980s, winning the much deserved Best Picture Academy Award. Having seen it theatrically and a few various home video editions from tape to laserdisc, DVD to Blu-Ray, when I heard a new 4K restored disc supervised by Oliver Stone was coming, I was elated. However, my disappointment set in when it became apparent the transfer was encoded with digital noise reduction, resulting in a waxy, artificial looking image that betrays the grittier look of earlier presentations. Missed opportunity for what could have been a really great release!

Veterans you'll love this classic war movie, in blue ray it makes picture/sound so much better than original broadcast format !!!

I really love this movie my dad was and still is a Vietnam vet so it reminds me of him and all hands down respect to our soldiers
