i was chooing between the three 08 basketball games that were out and i chose this one thinking that it would be the best choice, however i was wrong. this game on its hardest mode is easy the shooting is horrible. there are a lot of bugs i have noticed also. i normaly do not like the 2k games but i tried ther 08 basketball one and it was a lot better than this one.

My first sports game I bought with the PS3. The online comp is pretty cool. Lots of folks looking to compete. The lack of a fantasy/career option makes this game useless for long term use. Character builds quickly, the levels of skill are useless on veteran and below. This is a fun game but will be obsolete when a career option comes out.

As deep a basketball game that exists on any of the consoles. Fast action, solid control scheme, and it actually uses the sixaxis in a useful way!

I bought this game when I purchased my PS3 last week (b/c my xbox has the ring of death) and im going to say im very dissapointed. I had Live for xbox n ive played it on a friends ps3 and it is so much better. you can't change jerseys which proves to be a problem when ur the hornets and u play the lakers at home (both teams in yellow, very hard to play) Creating a player is no fun you can't put any accesories on him and he starts out with a like 40 rating. overall this game is ok i wish i would have bought live though.

I bought this game and it truly convices me that it plays in true 1080p. 2K8 says its in 1080p, but it looks the same as last years and it looks like PS2 graphics. The dunks in this game are fantatsic, especially when they are in slow motion. I don't like that every body has the same shot, but real shos statistics, so it's still cool. SONY can make anything!!! Especially NBA games in true 60 frames per second, 1080p picture, and 7.1 channel surround sound.

Although some of the Player models aren't the greatest, the game is still just as enjoyable as last year's. NBA Replay Mode is still fantastic, I enjoy replaying the great performances from each and every week of the season. There have been improvements to the gameplay and the all around atmosphere of the game. Online is easy to get into and plays great. I've got NBA Live and although it's fun, I still enjoy NBA 08's gameplay more. Enjoy!!

This game is one of the best of its kind with new player creation which lets you use your own created player throughout the season and the ability to buy classic jerseys and new arenas! With good graphics and online play, this game is a must buy for NBA fans!

I downloaded the demos for all three games and ended up buyin 2k8 which i only owned for about a week before returning to get this. Live is light years behind, as is every other EA game and 2k8 is not REAL enough, good but not great, this is the most realisitic NBA sim out there, if ur a fan its a must own, trust me sony makes it and if anyone can make a game for their system its them. also 2k8 claims 1080p but despite having a 57inch 1080p mistubishi, it would only play in 720p, this plays in true 1080p....LOVE IT, play it daily

Look. This is just a sorry basketball simulation compared to Live and 2K8. I would not recommend wasting your money on the rental. Go check out the better basketball titles and you will save money and be alot less dissapointed!

this is the same game as last years but the graphics are worse.. do not buy.. get nba live or nba 2k8.
