I originally went to purchase a 512 intel drive, but had none on the shelf, replacing an old 5400 rpm drive. I purchased the 480, usable around 468 being reported in the laptop. Installed into a Lenovo IdeaPad, easy swap and install, Win10 and SecureBoot EUIF was not easy, but the drive allowed for a complete boot in about 13-19 secs. Has a three year warranty and have had good experience in the past with PNY, also this is a III and not a II, the Lenovo does support III, great speed and life to the laptop.

Soon after buying a new computer, I installed this as my main boot drive, replacing the 1TB spin drive that it came with. So far, this drive has performed flawlessly, and while I am sure there are faster SSDs out there, it is blazing fast! Boot time from power button to desktop is about 12 seconds.

My friends laptop hard drive was on the verge of crashing and I was looking for a replacement. I came across this drive and it was at a great price. I transfered the info from the old drive and my friend is well pleased with the performance. She states the laptop runs faster than when it was new.

Bought this to speed up boot times on my ASUS G73SW Core i7 laptop and boy did it ever. It takes about 20 seconds to boot now versus about 2-3 minutes before. I installed it using the recommendations that were in a magazine article to only put the OS on it and never put anything that requires lots of writes as that wears the SSD drives out faster than anything. I have not had any issues with the drive performance wise however the mounting holes do not line up well with the drive carrier holes for my laptop. Other than that I highly recommend this drive.

My Samsung ATIV8 laptop has never been accused of being fast, especially during Windows 8 drive operations. When Best Buy had a one-day deal on the 640 GB solid state drive, I purchased it. The upgrade took some planning and data rearrangement as I had more data on the 1 TB internal drive than I could put on the 640 GB drive. I moved many files I seldom access to an external drive and did a major cleanup, throwing away data files I knew I would no longer need. When I was done, I had over 200 GB available space on my new solid state drive and I now have an external drive spare that was the original drive in my laptop. The swap was simpler than I thought it would be, and every time I use the laptop, I am amazed how fast it boots and how quickly it loads applications.

I was easily able to install this SSD set into my MacBook Pro in just under 5 minutes from the time I opened the packaging, to replacing the drive in my device. Instantly recognized by OS X and lightning fast!

I made a really good deal ($115 for 480GB model) and installed this SDD on my old Mac. Booting time has been down to just 10 seconds or so, and apps are running much faster. Trust all the SSD hype. It's a very effective solution to rejuvenate your old, slow computer.

This was my second PNY 480GB drive to purchase. I place this on in an 2011 MacBook Pro. The difference from the HD to SSD was major. The boot time decreased by 40 sec. The real difference can when using Parallel Desktop. The time to access Windows decreased 20x.

Great drive, no problems to report. I only just bought it and installed but everything is working great. If you want to speed up your computer swapping out the old platter drive to an SSD is the best upgrade you can buy. Nothing but SSD Drive for me from now on.

Faster than standard hard drives, SSDs allow you to speed up an older system. I use this one in my older MacPro for my OS and system software. Very peppy.

Upgraded RAM to 8GB when I first got it and my baby purred like a kitten. With this SSD my baby roars like Cecil. Oh. Like Mufa- Dangit. It's worth the upgrade is what I'm saying.

Wow, what a difference. Upgraded my W7 laptop from a standard hard drive. Start up time went from 1 1/2 minutes to 20 seconds. Feels like a brand new machine now, actually faster than when it was brand new. Programs & files open in a flash!

I was tired of waiting for my old laptop to boot, so when I bought my new Lenovo, I also added this SD drive, Fantastic! Boots immediately, loads programs fast, so quiet and fast, and didn't break the bank.

This SSD is just as good as the Crucial drive I bought about 6 months ago. Speed is on par and I haven't experienced a single issue yet *crosses fingers... For the price, this unit cannot be beat.

This is faster and more energy efficient that my old SATA HD. Made my PC boot faster and made opening up programs a lot faster than before. Shutting down and wake from sleep is a lot faster too.

I moved to SSD about a year ago, and just upgraded for more storage. SSD is the way to bring life back into a PC. Also helps with battery life.

It is very easy to replace. I have no problem at all to have it booted and run in less than an hour of installation of Windows OS. It is way faster and quieter than the old hard drive.

my old hard drive crashed on my mac pro so i upgraded to this ssd and it works great...super fast! makes my old mac pro feel young again.

I've had no problems at all with this drive; it has significantly improved my laptop's performance and storage capacity, and at a very reasonable price. Lots of bang for the buck.

I wish I would have brought more at the very low price as two days later the price jumped up significantly Works really fast and performs great with Windows 10 and hyperV
