I recently Installed Windows 7 on my older PC. I put a second partition on my hard drive and made it into a dual boot system. That took away half my drive space. So I went to buy another drive so I could just install Windows 7. I bought this solid-state drive and proceeded. Holy cow did this speed up my boot up time, less than 30 seconds! From 2 minutes, impressive to say the least. This has to be the best buy of the year!

Good ssd hard drive fast and dependable Does what I need

Installed this on my 2 year old PC - amazing speed improvement! Install was fairly easy, I used a kit purchased seperately. I kept my 2TB HD to hold photo's and video's. Since install, booting and shutting down are quicker. The biggest improvement has been in running programs and games. The speed increase in opening IE alone was worth it!

I had thought about purchasing a more expensive drive, however, after using this SSD for over a month, I'm glad I didn't. This sped up my boot time from about 1 minute to only 10 seconds. I don't need massive amounts of storage as I have a personal cloud for that, but at 480GB this is plenty of storage. A great product and a great price.

Wow, the changes an SSD makes!!!! It's like a whole new world! Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit. However, it did make a huge difference in load times. I'm using this SSD on a 6-year-old i5 laptop and it sure did bring it back to life. I purchased this on sale for $120.00 (minus $105 in gift cards)...I love it! I plan on buying a couple of more when this (or the 240gig) version(s) go down in price again!

This drive is amazingly fast and has a great capacity. It breathed new life into my laptop!

Before you begin installing, make sure you have an install kit (not included) like this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sandisk-solid-state-drive-conversion-kit/7312058.p?id=1218840119066&skuId=7312058 The kit will come with a mounting bracket, data cable and migration software to make the install MUCH easier. Once mine was installed, my desktop PC reboot went from over 2 minutes to about 30 seconds.

For a non-geek it was really easy to install. I have had no problems with the drive.

Always a better option to go with SSD drives. Have not been able to really notice a difference between models. Higher capacity is always better and this was a great price.

I recommend this drive as it boots up fast and performs well in an Intel box.
