I bought this hard drive to replace my standard 1TB hard drive, and it works outstanding. No problems with the hard drive and an increase of performance was noticed. I used the hard drive strictly for gaming purposes, and I have no complaints.

I was nervous about jumping into the SSD arena, afraid I would regret getting too small a drive. The PNY 480 gives me confidence that I'll have more than enough storage. Transferring an image of my PC was simple, and now everything boots faster, launches faster, flies faster.

I had an aging macbook pro from early 2011 that needed some updating. I maxed out memory and updated the old hard drive with this SSD. Performance improvements were so significant it compares with a brand new macbook pro. Purchased on promo and happy with purchase. Installed quickly and using time machine quickly was back up and running.

No problem cloning the small, original hard drive in my desktop. Simply swapped the drives and booted. Fast boot up and the drive is faster than the one it replaced even though it is four times as large. I am totally satisfied and do highly recommend this hard drive.

Installed easily and without a hitch. Computer boot up is almost instantaneous once past the POST screen. Overall boot time in the 30 second range. The prices of SSD's have come down to the point where there's almost no reason not to get one. Completely satisfied with the PNY, specs may not be the highest, but the value is fantastic.

I tell you after looking for a replacement for my hard drive, I deceided on the PNY 480gb SSD (Solid State Drive). Best Buy had a great price per Mb on this drive and with the quality, reliability and super customer service I've come to expect from PNY it was a no-brainer! It's in my PC now and doing a great job!

This SSD was an upgrade from an OCZ 240gb SSD drive that I had used for a couple of years. I was able to clone that drive to this larger drive and all worked fine. This new PNY drive seems to work as fast if not a bit faster than my previous drive. I am happy with this drive and am pleased to give it 5 stars.

it was easy cloning my old hard drive to this ssd drive then install in my laptop. Lap top boots faster than when it was new.

Needed a new hard drive after the one in my PC laptop was failing. It needed to be able to run audio, as well as dmx control software without overheating. This PNY has fit the bill so far.

I decided to replace the hard drive in one of my laptops just as an experiment. I found the performance of the SSD so incredibly better that I bought a couple other ones and replaced all my rotating storage with these. Incredible performance. Will extend the life of my equipment for years.

I bought this SSD on sale. I just installed it on a Lenovo X230 and freshly installed Windows 7. Now the laptop boots up within one minute vs over 5 minutes before. Even though this is not the top of the line SSD in terms of performance, it is very had to beat based on the purchase price.

The installation was a little hairy due to my laptop design (What happened to laptops having any accessible hard drive and memory?) I digress. Once physically installed, installing the OS was a breeze and went very quickly. The speed of the laptop increased exponentially.

I have installed in a couple of older laptops replacing their SATA HDD and the change in boot time and general use is great. The laptops now have Windows 10 and are running great. Easy to install ( use an available kit to transfer / clone ) and you are on your way. :-)

Replaced a failed hard drive. Boots up faster and runs smoother. Easy install in under 10 minutes!

It's fast ,cheap and works well for me. I would say it's a good deal but it is a older model

Solid SSD and great performance on my computer. HDD went bad on my Macbook Pro and installing this was like getting a new computer. Much faster/better performance than any regular HDD for sure.

After experiencing several hard drive crashes over the past few years on both laptop and desktop, my son in law recommended the SSD drive. It is much faster and I look forward to a much longer life than the hard drive installed in computers these days
